Kolento said that this is not his deck and he got it from StrifeCro.
No Cairne? What to do?
kel thuzad can work as well.
How is Shade of Naxxramas best used in this deck? Play 'em and keep him stealthed for as long as possible or use him freely to control the board?
What about sylvanas instead of Cairne/Sunwalker? I think that could be good
Cairne is there to be a sticky minion for Savage Roar and forces great trades. Sylvanas is better in a control deck, this deck really isn't control.
I decided to run with sunwalker, just cause its a 6 drop with taunt, and imo the taunts are the things that makes you win against hunter. I took away one Ancient of Lore, as two 7 drops is too much imo, And replaced one with deathlord.
Yes, but mostly against hunters, you dont want too many high drops, and getting 2 ancients of lore in early hand just ruins the game...
It should be effective against rush, you just need your Ooze+Mark of the Wild/Argus combo. Cards like Creeper and Golem are also great with trading the 1 health minions from Backspace Rogue/Murlocks/Pally Rush.
This deck doesn't run MotW.
Then Argus can buff Ooze, no big deal, Mark of the Wild was just a personal add to the deck to get the combo earlier.
What about a sludge belcher instead of sunwalker? I think the belcher is stronger, and even for 1 mana less. I dont have cairne, so Im not very sure to use sludge or sunwalker.. Suggestions ;)?
Can you explain why? against hunters the divine shield is no problem, and they can then hunters mark it or kill command. then its dead. Against belcher you will get a new 1/2 taunt. Can you tell me in a better and deeper perspective ;)?
I got a question about the deck. I main'd priest up to rank 10 and decided to switch to Druid because I seem to enjoy drood more.
The question is: Why doesn't he use wild growth? Like free mana crystals seems pretty important to me, but i'd love to hear a proper explanation about the reason behind it
I stopped playing wild growth. It's amazing turn 1 (with coin) thru 3. But after that it's kind of a dead card. Also - this deck is faster paced. There aren't a ton of 7-9 mana plays in it. You are better off with a sticky minion in this deck than a wild growth. What do you drop for the WG? Creepers? Ooze? Those cards keep your opponent busy while WG just lets them build their board.
My opinion anyway.
Well thanks alot, that answer helped alot :) It's weird tho because I don't seem to success that much. I'm like playing at 50% with this deck and I'm not sure if it fullfills its purpose. Don't even quite understand how kolento got rank 1 with his deck. Seem to get raped all the way.
the hard thing about this deck is if you go face or clear the board or kill a minion/s . when you get how the deck works or how to make it work against other decks, you will know why kolento got rank1 with it.
Kolento played this list to Rank #1 Legend on EU for August. I played it a bit at top 200 legend and it did just fine. Hunter matchups are tough if you don't get the right draw but are very winnable. Spectral Knight is a house against them, and if you Argus one it's GG. Zoo is not a great matchup, but you can't win them all.
I wanna try this deck but i have dust for 3 epic card only. What should i craft - 2 Force of Nature and 1 Ancient of lore or 2 Ancient of lore and 1 Force of Nature.
Thanks. In last pack i got gold epic card and crafted both. Last question is - Cairne slot. I have Ancient of War, Kel'Thuzad ,Sunwalker or even Bloodmage Thalnos. What card a best choice? (Sorry for english - it's not a mother language for me).
retried the deck, with Harrison ipo Cairne and worked fine, going to give this some more playtime to see if keeps up to its promises
