DECK DESCRIPTION

Today's Priest deck is a classic 1-drop 2-drop 3-drop board control deck often referenced as "zoo." We are playing some of the most powerful low cost, high health creatures offered to Priest. The deck includes new KotFT cards such as Shadow Ascendant, Drakkari Enchanter, Cobalt Scalebane, and even the The Lich King himself to turn an early start deck into a late game powerhouse.

DECK GOALS

Like any "zoo" deck you have to start the game on turn-1 so we are including max copies of Zombie Chow, Northshire Cleric and Mistress of Mixtures. Enemy life total is not a concern and you should generally not play around AoE cards to make the most out of two copies of Jeeves. With the board secured the deck tries to abuse multiple end of turn triggers to stay strong in the mid-game. The Lich King looks a bit out of place in a lower curve deck but he is the most powerful single card play in the game much like when aggressive decks included Dr. Boom. His taunt and end of turn effect gives him the edge over playing the actual Dr. 7.

THE MULLIGAN

Be very greedy with the start. You must have a 1-drop unless you already have a Radiant Elemental and want to fish for Velen's Chosen. Consider holding on to a Jeeves if you already have exactly a 1-drop & 2-drop.

TECH CHOICES

Consider swapping one Drakkari Enchanter for the second Holy Nova.

THINGS TO NOTE

This deck as access to one of the most busted starts in Wild, The Coin plus Radiant Elemental into Velen's Chosen for a 4/7 attacking creature on turn-2. Drakkari Enchanter reads "end of turns trigger twice" so having two on the board offers no additional benefit.
