These heroic matches dont require skill at all. Its really sad that blizzard rather then making cool mechanics that would make the match ups difficult, have to resort to mechanics that make them flat out impossible if you get the wrong draws. The fact that i have to sit and mulligan until i get exactly the starting hand i want is retarded.

OK so here's the combination that worked for me, taking in consideration everyone's posts here. I added one Big Game Hunter for those pesky big 9/6 Blobs. Other than I just synthesized everyone's feed back so the deck mod from this one is here: http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/90068-heroic-globbulus-mage-freeze The Black Knight card is flexible. I just put him there because I thought of dealing with the big "Globs" somehow that have buffs and taunts. I guess you could always put in a Big Game Hunter, etc. too....

2 shot. I almost missed it in the game I won. I was about to kill a minion with a fireball before I realized I had an iceblock and a pyro when he had 13 health. Don't miss 2 round lethal if you have an iceblock! I finished with 1 health 2 armor. :D
Good deck. With the adjustments mentioned in previous posts, I was able to get through him rather easily.

Upvoted and I'll throw in a comment to reiterate! Mad scientist dies immediately due to hero power for free iceblock, or better yet, 8 armor so absolutely throw this free card in. Doomsayer is such a staple to freeze mage, you'd have to be super lucky with card draw NOT to win without him. Took 5 tries but it finally worked...that's freeze mage for you...Alexstrasza or bust!

I did not go for the mad scientist, instead I used nerubian eggs but I won first try after suffering trying to defeat this guy with any other deck.
Doomsayer isn't very good in this deck. The AI targets it immediately and takes it out, so you get no use from it.
For the record, you should have the board frozen before you expect to drop the Doomsayer, and hope he doesn't use the occasional spell that gives him a character-based attack. I watched [user]hottstepper[/user]'s video and he didn't even hit the Doomsayer with his Dancing Swords which I thought was odd. the only reasonable explanation is the AI calculates if there's enough damage to kill the Doomsayer and if not it goes for face.

What would be your suggestion to someone who does not have Alexstrasza ? It seems that many of these mage decks require her but unfortunately she doesn't appear in packs very often.
Alexstrasza is key component in freeze mages because she works like 30 damage card. You simply can't replace her unfortunately
I did the same thing as you just because 2 pyroblasts are overkill (damn, this guy really likes to give 2 pyros to everything ...) ... but in the end I didnt even needed them :-)
Nah, Gluth was the real scumback of this wing! :D I havent got single Ooze in first 4 tries and he just rushed me down at turn 4 with weapon + buffs to it and it was only boss where was no point in playing doomsayers :(
