DECK DESCRIPTION

This deck is built around three pillar cards: Fire Plume's Heart, Bolster, and the king himself Hobgoblin. The deck makes use of many of the games low cost, 1-power taunt minions. We also include the new Un'goro card  Stonehill Defender as well as the new elementals Tar Creeper and his big brother Tar Lord.

DECK GOALS

Protect yourself early with 'annoying' taunts like Twilight Geomancer or Annoy-o-Tron or use them in later turns to combo with Hobgoblin and/or Bolster. We use two powerful legendaries to hide behind our guys, Emperor Thaurissan who can help enable our combos with Hobgoblin and Bolster. The other is Kel'Thuzad who has amazing synergy with taunts especially something as little as Annoy-o-Tron. At the "heart" of everything we are still a Fire Plume's Heart deck so that is our ultimate goal.

THE MULLIGAN

As a general rule I would always keep the quest unless you want to play the odds against another warrior being pirates. Most of your minions are not high tempo plays so keeping weapons Fiery War Axe and Death's Bite is a must. Tar Creeper is one of the only "high" tempo plays so it should also be kept.

TECH CHOICES

No cards are teched in for specific match-ups. We are playing one copy of Execute as a cheap answer card. The one copy of Protect the King! is used for when you run out of good situations to Bolster your board.

THINGS TO NOTE

Goldshire Footman works best on turn 4 with a Hobgoblin. You generally don't want to play him on turn 1. The list is using Direhorn Hatchling to up the taunt count slightly but they could easily be Sludge Belcher.
