Hi guys,
first of all, thanks for upvoting this decklist of mine!
Also check my Wild Jade Tempo Rogue in the link below
http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/866429-rank-15-to-legend-80-winrate
Elemental Shami is by far my favourite thing to play since the start of Un'Goro.
What I like most about it is that he gives you a fair chance to win vs. most of the higher tier and most of the Tier 1 decklists such as Control Mage or Aggro Druid
Over the time many of you guys helped me developing this decklist, giving good advices and interesting ideas about certain cards, so thank you for that!
MULLIGAN
Against aggro&midrange, try to keep either one Maelstrom Portal or Lightning Storm, needless to say, Tar Creeper and Hot Spring Guardian are better than Stonehill Defender in this matchup. Apart from that just try to maintain a good curve.
Control: since we got some more time to prepare our board, we can also consider keeping cards like Stonehill Defender or even Flamewreathed Faceless (even more so, if we have The Coin).
HOW TO PLAY THIS
I will list some of the more important matchups you will face:
Quest Rogue: since the nerf has finally arrived, you probably won´t have to worry about that in ladder anymore, but we will see, how the season proceeds
Hunter, Pirate Warrior&Aggro Druid: favoured matchup, play your taunt minions and clear with your spells, until they run out of breath. Against Druid, always save a Lightning Storm for his Living Mana crap
Jade Druid: 50:50 chance, Bloodlust wins most of the games here, do everything in your power to prevent that he reaches lategame. Similiar to Quest Rogue, only remove the key cards like Fandral Staghelm, rest is face
Control Mage: favoured, since we have at least one Kalimos, Primal Lord in reserve, they will have a hard time to burst you down to 0. Save Hex for Alexstrasza
Midrange Paladin: not easy, but winnable, if you can stop his tempo during early game. Save Hex´es for Tirion and his [deck]Spikeridged Steed[/deck]
Control Priest: by far the hardest matchup, he just has so many board clears.
The best advice I can give to you is a smart use of Spirit Echo. If you face too many of them, cut a Mana Tide Totem for another Echo
Current Changes&Thoughts
Al'Akir the Windlord for sure is one strong fellow, but without any Flametongue Totems to boost him he is only decent on most of the situations, if you need him, try to pull him out of Servant of Kalimos
-2 Fire Plume Harbinger / +2 Glacial Shards: I found Glacial Shards to be more efficient in most of the situations, stalling aggressive enemies early to prepare Lightning Storm, stalling bigger enemies during late for Hex etc.
- Bloodmage Thalnos / + 2nd Mana Tide Totem: Thalnos was a dead card most of the time, only providing a card draw, cause he was rarely there, when needed, so Mana Tide Totem poses a better chance to get several cards => more options, furthermore it has synergy with the next change
- Stone Sentinel, - Flametongue Totem / +2 Thing from Below: since we can always place a totem here and there during our turns, Thing from Below seems a nice sub for Stone Sentinel, tho he provides Feral Spirit, so to say, for free, 7 Mana is quite something compared to a card that might turn out costing 0
-2 Thing from Below, -1 Mana Tide Totem, -2 Glacial Shard / +2 Devolve, + Bloodmage Thalnos, + Stone Sentinel, + Fire Plume Harbinger
...there have been tons so many changes since the last update that I won´t write all of them down anymore, I am still testing some changes anyway.
Any more questions? Leave a comment :)
Special thanks to kiwiinbacon for deciding to feature my deck in one of his videos, hope you all like it!

Can you update the deck list?
Also I am missing one Blazecaller. Any suggestions?
Since I am constantly experimenting, I can´t update it all the time, but I updated it for you
Consider crafting it, 400 Dust aint that much, is a strong tempo swing
Just a coincedence, when I use this deck, 90% of the ladder is now Quest Rogue. Switched one of the stonehill defenders for White Eyes, still don't feel that's enough. What are the flex spots in the deck?
Hey there, I feel you there, Quest Rogue still is a pain.
You got quite many flex spots, since I am also still experimenting around there. You can cut Things from Below, one Mana Tide Totem, Glacial Shards. In terms of Quest Rogue just wait for the nerf, this will give us a nice boost in winrate
Edit: try playing with 2 Dirty Rats if you really face so many of them, to increase ur chance of ruining their bounces
I've been using this deck for two days now so far lots of wins. Finally a deck that does well against pesky freeze mages because they don't have enough burst to take you down Kalamos heal ftw. Also the mana curve on this deck is amazing. Thanks for sharing keep up the good work!
Glad to hear ur doing well :)
Best of luck on the ladder!
Hi, thanks for sharing your thoughts, I am currently testing some changes as well
I put Thalnos back in, as u said, I kinda miss the bonus dmg even tho I don´t always have it when needed.
I will think about the rest and see how it affects the deck, thanks mate :)
What do you think of adding Spirit Echo in this deck? I've seen many Elemental Shamans running this Card and it would be powerful to play Klaimos or other Elementals more than once
You can try and tell me your thought. So far, I´ve only seen this card in Jade Shamans, so I don´t know, if it´s also viable here.
I am playing different deck of elemental shaman, just got to rank 10.
however i just want to ask how does this deck do vs control / quest warriors. I feel it is almost impossible to pass those taunts
vs other decks, mine went pretty ok, considerating i added Elise the Trailblazer
Hi, fellow ele player :P
Vs. Control Mage you have a fair chance, because of the strong heal Kalimos provides. Quest Warrior is 50:50, if you manage to play around his brawls and Primordial Drakes, you can win it with Bloodlust. Also, his Hero Power is rather ineffective when you have a full board
The Elise pick is an interesting option, but I´m wondering if I manage to draw the pack in most of the games before the game is over
I started with ranking in the new season yesterday and I am already at rank 10 by now, with almost 0 losses. Today I am gonna return to 5.
You almost listed as many decks as the number of games you played, I highly doubt that you played several games against each of those decks, or even one single match.
Sorry, but I can´t take this comment seriously.
Edit: Evolve has not won a single time vs. me

Idk man, my only explanation is, that u make some major mistakes by misjudging ur enemy or make too greedy plays with nothing as a backup. I don´t really have problems with Control Priests at all (Quest Priest isn´t even worth mentioning).
Naturally you have to play around your enemies removals and priest doesn´t really have many strong minions, so we aren´t even under much pressure while refilling the board. Blazecallers, Faceless and Kalimos can survive Potion btw.
It´s not like I want to annulate ur arguments just because I am the creator of this deck. I currently hit rank 4 with it, so no matter what you say, it is by any means no weak deck.
I guess, it´s just not ur style of deck, I have some issues with other classes too, but Shaman is my profession
Good deck bro!
I have only one question this Flamewreathed Faceless can ruin your elemental snergy and mana curve. How does it effect your game tempo?
I chose to play Faceless, because, whether you play it with Coin at turn 3, or in the late game where the overload doesn´t bother you so much anymore, 7/7 are great stats to work with. But more importantly, it only costs 4 Mana!!! That gives you easily chances, to combine it with another card at the same time.
The Elemental Shaman´s problem was to play more than one big card at once, with Thing from Below and Faceless it´s easily possible to make big turns
To answer your question: the game tempo during early game significantly increases, and since we have enough 3 mana minions to choose from, we can also play it turn 4 without any problems
Well, I am not the biggest fan of Earth Elemental, so maybe try to cut another card and play with 2 Things from Below, in this case you might consider playing 2 Mana Tide Totems, I´ve been thinking about those replacements already, you might try it out, if you want :)
Al'Akir in my opinion is a good card to discover from Servant, but not necessarily needed in the decklist itself
Hope I could help you out
I had a lot of fun playing with this deck, not only is it surprising and different that what we usually see but it also works quite well on the ladder and can defeat high tier meta decks quite simply.
I made a showcase video to show strengths and weaknesses of the deck which I hope you enjoy of course!
An excellent deck! What do you think about adding Al'Akir the Windlord instead of 4 mana 7/7?
Thanks mate :)
I would not recommend it, we only have one Flametongue Totem to buff Al'Akir in late game, besides, I play Dr.4 to increase my pressure during early and midgame, since we can even coin out this guy in turn 3 :)
ok , I got it, thanks
