About me :

I first hit legend rank last season using the old midrange shaman, peaked at rank 223. This season, i'm still working on getting legend, currently rank 2 using this deck, slowly crawling to legend. Shaman is my favorite class in the game, mostly because i played a shaman in WoW. I also achieved golden Shaman portrait at the end of last season.

 

Cards Choice:

2x Earth Shock : super value against Twilight Drake's & Nerubian Egg's, also it's a much needed silence against everything that needs to be silenced.

2x Lightning Bolt : pretty straightforward, awesome with Wrath of Air Totem or Azure Drake's.

2x Rockbiter Weapon : best used on Nerubian Egg to make a trade and get a 4/4 on the board, also can be used with Doomhammer or Al'Akir the Windlord for finisher.

2x Flametongue Totem : Combo with totems, Nerubian Egg, spiders from Haunted Creeper to make good trades or with Al'Akir the Windlord for a finisher.

2x Haunted Creeper : Everyone uses this card so why shouldn't we ? Good when pairing spiders with Flametongue Totem for great value.

2x Nerubian Egg : One of the best cards that came out of Naxx imo, great with Rockbiter Weapon and Flametongue Totem.

2x Feral Spirit : 2 2/3 taunts for 3 mana, what more could you ask for ? 1 drawback : overload, only when not paired with Unbound Elemental

2x Hex : Removal for those pesky big minions. 

2x Lightning Storm : Awesome board clear paired with Wrath of Air Totem or Azure Drake. Great against ZooLock.

1x Mana Tide Totem : Protected by taunts or on an empty board, this card usually draws removal from the opponent. I like to call it the "Old'school 100% Nat Pagle". Go figure ! 1 is enough though !

2x Unbound Elemental : Might as well have "Taunt" in the text of this card, usually draws removal. Paired with overload cards, this becomes a great threat for the opponent.

2x Defender of Argus : "Battlecry : upgrade 2 totems to super-totems". Can help protect Mana Tide Totem

1x Doomhammer : It's called DOOMhammer for a reason. Great finisher paired with Rockbiter Weapon.

2x Azure Drake : This minion was made for shamans. 4/4, draw a card, spell power for all those shaman spells. Can't get any better !

1x Loatheb : Great card ! I'm not even going to explain why !Just use it !

2x Fire Elemental : The backbone of any shaman deck ! Imo, best class minion in the game !

1x Al'Akir the Windlord : "WINDS, WRECK MY OPPONENT" .  Great finisher paired with Rockbiter Weapon or Flametongue Totem.

 

 

Replacements : 

1x Al'Akir the Windlord : Swap it with 1x Argent Commander, but it's not even close.

1x Haunted Creeper : Swap it with 1x Bloodmage Thalnos for extra card draw and spell power. Also if you don't own Bloodmage Thalnos, you can use either Loot Hoarder or Kobold Geomancer, depending if you want spell power or card draw.

 2x Haunted Creeper : Swap it with 2x Argent Squire's if you don't like spiders.

 1x Azure Drake : Swap with 1x Bloodlust, i don't recommend it because it's a dead card on an empty board, but if you think it could work, feel free to try it. I tried it some time ago and it didn't work for me.

2x Unbound Elemental : If you don't like the Unbounds, you can swap them with 2x Sen'jin Shieldmasta, 2x Chillwind Yeti, 2x Harvest Golem or 2x Gnomish Inventor
