This deck I go to rank 5 with 72% winrate. Could easily get legend but prefer to hit with my temporogue (and did it) - clickable link.
Tech choices:
Pyros - since we don't have enough late game and draw it's pretty good card, could be useful as early, and as late game.
Secret package - ofc. we need some tempo secrets, so we put Mirror Entity 2 copies, and Counterspell to protect our board. And i found that Spellbender is pretty cool in current meta. Works very well against palladin and aggrodruid, as well as could just protect our minons as well. And we need some sticky early secret to activate Medivh's Valet in early game.
Secret minions - just standard pack, but i'm using exactly! 1 Kabal Lackey, because i found none of them is bad, and 2 is too much, u don't wanna draw that bad minions in late middle or late game.
Other stuff - just good mage cards.
Questionable cards - Faceless Summoner, Arcane Giant. Treying to use Yogg-Saron, but didn't get good results. So i decide to put second 6 drop as filler (first 1 is Pyros). Arcane Giant good even if u didn't play enough spells, and if u do it's crazy good. But sometimes u draw it in early game, which is pretty bad.
Thoughts about input another cards:
Cabalist's Tome - too situational and too random. If we need some damage, so why not to put damage?
Pyroblast Usually we finish game before turn 10, or if we go to turn 10 it's already win\lost situation without this card.
Ice Block, Mana Bind - it's only good if we use Archmage Antonidas, but it's too slow and kinda awkward with draw and mulligan. I tried it, but not have success.
Firelands Portal - good control and presenting board card, but again too random and speaking about face - better to pull in Pyroblast. Another words too situational and slow cards. Still considering put it instead of Arcane Giant. SO this is first cards to pull in i think.
Sorcerer's Apprentice - we already have huge tempo with free secrets in early and early-mid game. We don't use Mirror Image or Arcane Missiles so in reality we want to reducing only Frostboltand less Arcane Intellect. Another words we have enough tempo in early and early-mid game and we need some mid-late game, so i don't use it. But you can definitely try it, probably instead Arcane Giant, and of cause it's a good card, so this is second candidate (after Firelands Portal) to put in the deck.

This deck has poor performance against any control deck as Dragon Priest, Quest Warrior, Elemental Shaman, nor Jade Druid too. Murloc Paladin eats your deck alive.

I was looking for a deck in which I could use my new Pyros, so decided to give yours a try! While it was a fun experience I have to say that I am really missing some burst here and it might be better to include two Firelands Portals e.g.! Overall WR was still positiv but there is room for improvement imo. ;)

Yes, you can try iceblock. Secret mage still developing in meta, so i don't think it worth it. Also it's very meta-depending secret, in this meta it's good, in another could be bad. On another hand it's a Classic set card, so this card is never rotating. So it's up to you.

not a bad deck, but sorcerers apprentice didn't make the deck, aren't they too good not to include? just like to know your reasoning. :)
I can't see the reason since we don't use Arcane Missiles or Mirror Image. So there is only Arcane Intellect and Primordial Glyph for it. And we need some late game like Arcane Giant
correct me if i'm wrong but fireball, frostbolt and the secrets all get reduced by the sorcerers apprentice aswell right?, which can come in handy especially if you don't have one of the cards to play a secret for 0 mana on a certain turn and would also reduce the cost of firelands portal if you were running that too.
Yeah, frostbolt. Talking about Secrets, usually it's not good enough to put it 1 mana less. And we usually using faerballs in mid\late game which 1 mana doesn't make enough sense. But i take your point of view. Anyway i found we already have huge and cheap tempo in early and early-mid game, and we need some mid-late game, so i don't use Sorcerers. But you can put it instead of Arcane Giants i feel
