This deck started as a joke, and it ended up being an unstoppable beast....
I took all my legendaries that I had and slammed them into a deck and added taunts, that's it. After 15 wins I made a few tweaks and you have WHYLOCK.
Remember, if you don't have these EXACT legendaries, try just filling it up with your own and post results.
UPDATE 1: Removed both Shattered Sun Clerics and replaced them with Voidwalkers. I think its best to have a large amount of taunts rather than buffing current ones out of kill range. Loot hoarder removed for 1x Summoning Portal. This change allows tempo ramp with either taunts or legendaries. It is highly situational but I find that it works. Removed Gelbin Mekkatorque and Maexxna and replaced them with obvious legendaries, Hogger and Lorewalker Cho. Hogger is an obvious choice, Lorewalker Cho is so that you get your enemies spells, because you don't have any therefore they can't get yours.
[STRATEGY]! (UPDATED)
STEP 0: ALWAYS MULL OUT YOUR LEGENDARIES FOR TAUNTS. ALWAYS! ALWAYS MULL 5 DROP OR HIGHER TAUNTS! ALWAYS!
Step 1: Your first couple of turns need to be cheap taunts, the tempo is set up pretty well so if you have a skip turn just draw with lock power.
Step 1a: If facing a spell heavy class or a hard removal class use the following rule: Play out your smaller taunts like Ironfur Grizzly or Voidwalker to lure spells out early. Use them as bait. Large taunts are easily susceptible to hard removal like Hex. Get annoying with it and force them to use their hard removals.
Step 2: [MOST IMPORTANT] Play the appropriate amount of taunts. We are not focused on health and attack values but literally how many attacks can you stop during the turn. You have to keep in mind removal and damage spells. Lets say the opponent has a Chillwind Yeti on board and you have a Ironfur Grizzly. That taunter WILL stop the attack, and that's all you need. Are they a mage? Could they destroy it? Play another cheap taunt. Are they a warrior? Will they play another huge dude? Play another smaller taunt. Most high drop taunts are UTILITY taunts and not to be used all the time.
STEP 3: Play the appropriate legendaries. All legendaries are utility cards in some way shape or form. Use the appropriate one for the job.
STEP 4: WIN
You have all been trolled so hard by this deck. It might be the worst non-zoo/handlock deck I've ever seen on a Warlock. Absolutely no flow or synergy.
good premise but this deck just does not work for me, i tried it and got owned 1-6 and i went from 13-15. You need to refine it man you got lucky as hell the one time i won i got insane card draws and won without losing a life its like a hit or miss lol. (i was rank 5 as my highest). Seems like my oldschool zoo deck from a season ago is doing the best i don't know what deck to choose :( i am so sick of zoo i really want this deck to work :(
You simply got lucky during your streak. lmao This deck is absolutely horrible vs the current meta. It is way to too slow to stop a good Zoolock. None of the 1 or 2 drops will be able to kill anything, so they will simply trade up against them without losing any minions. The deck is so skewed towards 4+ mana cost minions that by the time you have any decent minion out, it is too late. Against any decent aggro deck, you will not live to see your few big minions hit the board.
Baron is a terribel idea i removed him immediately and still lose maybe i should tweak the crap out of this deck if nayone can tweak it and make it work (i don't trust the authors 15-0) at all.
I feel like its hard to trade with certain minions, especially in a druid matchup. You don't have any taunt minions with 5 attack, which makes it incredibly hard to trade with enemy tazdingos and druids of the claw, not sure what to replace. But I find the lack of spells a significant disadvantage.
Siq F2P dek yO!
Updated strategy section and changed a few cards.
Great Deck
ima try this deck is LORD JAR a necessity only legendary i don't have.
Hes a good reset but he can be replaced.
i deced to craft him for this deck but im losing man non stop, wtf am i donig wrong i don't wanna knock the deck also i don't like Baron Geddon in the deck and i replaced some things could u tell me what the hell do i do i don't wanna badmouth the deck i really like the concept man. But i lost alot of ranks tryin to win with it what am i doing wrong? Maybe tweak it more?
A taunt warlock deck that doesn't use Voidwalker?
Wouldnt this work better with Druid because you can innervate and wild growth into legendaries faster
Yes it's technically a better deck for it, but no, people expect that from Druids. What they don't expect is a Warlock to run something like this. Especially with the prevalence of Zoolock. Most only mulligan for Zoo. Which usually gives this deck, and Handlock, a good advantage.
