About me and my decks

About this deck:

In World of Wacraft a Retribution Paladin had the role of a damage dealer in a raid group (Healer or Tank were the other roles). The main damage came from powerful weapons and that's the reason behind this deck - the Paladin class got Vinecleaver as a very powerful weapon in Hearthstone. Building a deck around this card was not that easy, but there are some good synergies. Adapting your Silver Hand Recruits you get out of Vinecleaver, your hero power and other cards (Lost in the Jungle, Stand Against Darkness) with Lightfused Stegodon or power them up with Sunkeeper Tarim are the main theme of this deck.

How to play this deck:

You mulligan for your cheap cards, depending on the opponent you are facing. Against small minion heavy decks you want Lost in the Jungle, Mind Control Tech, Consecration etc. A Truesilver Champion, Aldor Peacekeeper or one of your Boardclearcombo cards Equality / Wild Pyromancer are also okay if you have The Coin.

You midgame should be your 2 and 3 drops, Stonehill Defender helps you to stall the game and find more Sunkeeper Tarims / Tirion Fordrings or any other good taunt minion (even another Stonehill Defender is possible).

If you have at least two Silver Hand Recruits on board you can adapt them with Lightfused Stegodon, the more recruits you have the better of course. The card Stand Against Darkness was too dead while testing this deck, since you want to combine it with either Lightfused Stegodon or Sunkeeper Tarim (and this is only possible with The Coin on turn 10 - so very unlikely). But you still can get Stand Against Darkness out of Ivory Knight if you found enough Sunkeeper Tarims out of Stonehill Defender or have a Lightfused Stegodon left to play.

A special tech card in this deck is Captain Greenskin, and depending on your opponent you want to use it on one of your 3 possible weapons: If you face Freeze Mage you want to upgrade your Truesilver Champion to get more heal out of it. Otherwise you should upgrade your Vinecleaver. Against a Quest-Priest with a ton of healing you can upgrade your Ashbringer for some insame burst damage.

Another tech card is Grimestreet Informant which can make some pretty good outcomes when you have access to Hunter and Warrior spells.

While Ivory Knight, Forbidden Healing, Wickerflame Burnbristle are your healing tools you still get a lot of defensive backup with double Spikeridged Steed.

Last but not least you have a neat Dinosize for some suprise burst, because everybody knows: Paladins don't have burst damage ;-)
