Sorry guys, I am leaving this game. Out of all the classes in Hearthstone, Paladin was one of the least playing class because Paladin was slow and lack of early removal. But after GVG expansion, we got some early removal, but not every powerful enough. Anyway, I wish you all the best of luck playing with Tauntadin. Thank You for all the likes, and feedback. Good Bye everyone! :)
If you're looking for a deck to climb the ladder with, no, this is not the deck you're looking for. Although the current list makes it somewhat decent against face hunter, but just crap against most other midrange/control decks for the reasons you've listed. The main problem this deck faces is just being too situational and draw dependant; you NEED early drops, and even if you get some, they're not sticky enough(no Shield Bots? really?). Stampeding Kodos used to be a thing, but they're just not worth running anymore, again, because they're situational. The deck has no real theme, it just reminds me of the pre-Naxx approach to controlling board and hope to pull through to lategame...too defensive, not enough staying power, and no good win condition.
Cairne Bloodhoof is there because he's sticky and difficult to get rid of so Hogger probably wouldn't be the best fit. I'd suggest Sunwalker, though I ended up using Sneed's Old Shredder myself because I'm a greedy Paladin.
I cant win against Mages with that Deck, what iam doing wrong?
not every deck will win against every class.
Hey guys great that you are having success with my variation. Priest is indeed the only class I have trouble with, maybe someone has advice on how to tackle priests on the ranked ladder? The rest of the classes are okay, however in my experience due to the gvg expansion, everybody has the ability to be much more agressive before with any deck. Any ideas on how to counter the slowness of this deck with the increase of agressiveness?
I use shielded minibots as a replacement for the zombie chows. I also replaced the lil exorcist with a coghammer, and the earthen ring farseer with a seal of light. I just started playing with these changes, and my first impression is that I have a lot more possibilities to remove early threats. The minibot and coghammer combo is great, however it can also be used to give one of your stronger minions divine shield/taunt. Also the seal of light can give you truesilver or coghammer the extra attack it needs to remove heavier threats from the board.Maybe you'll agree if you try these changes out!
Good Replacement for Tirion and Cairne?
Cairne → Sunwalker
Tirion → Loatheb or another Sunwalker may just fine.
Hope this help! :)
Thanks!
You can also replace it with Dr. Boom
Trying this deck without Sylvanas or Cairne. Running Kezan Mystic and Piloted Shredder instead for the same kind of stickiness and stealing aspects. I will see how it works, I am guessing kezan will be great against hunters and mages, but weak elsewhere.
I'll follow up in the future with the results.
Hello, friend.
I also have this card waiting to be play in the future if Mage and Hunter secret decks getting popular. For now, I think Kezan Mystic would not be a good card to play at the moment. You wanted to add a card that help you vs. all the classes, not just classes have secrets only :)
Piloted Shredder. I see how this cards is amazing in other decks, but unfortunately, this not much. It is not combo much with anything unless you play more like Mech Paladin.
FYI: I just made some updated for this decks.
Have a wonderful day! :)
Thanks for the input! Piloted Shredder failed miserably so I replaced him with Bolvar Fordragon, which has actually worked really well. Kezan Mystic is a weak comparison to Sylvanus, but has won me some games.
Any suggestions on a replacement for those two as I do not have them.
A good card to replace Sylvanas Windrunner is Sunwalker :)
What exactly is Elven Archer doing that say Zombie chow couldn't do better? Is it just there to activate the sheep? Because that doesn't seem worth it at all. At least with Pyro you can cast a spell on anything on the field and activate it's effect, where as you are running archer specifically to activate sheep and then it just dies to the sheeps effect.
Elven Archer not just combo with the Explosive Sheep but it can also combo with Equality, Acolyte of Pain, and freely choose deal 1 damage to enemy (ex. combo with Truesilver Champion, can get rid of annoying Sludge Belcher in a second).
@drkztan That's why I removed 1 sheep and added a second Pyro. 2 sheeps are too much as far as I'm concerned, 1 was always a dead card in my hand because it would always do more harm to me than him. That 2 damage is overkill for equality and at least Pyro is a half way decent minion and doesn't get auto popped by druids, mages and rogues.
@JDragon that is a massive waste of 2 card slots if you ask me, especially when this decks biggest problem is early aggression. You have consecration, Pyro and sheep to use with/after equality. Wasting a spot on a 1/1(even one that deals 1 damage while coming in) is no where near as beneficial as having 2 more solid early game minions.
I'm gonna keep testing, but since I made these changes my win rate vs. aggro/zoo has gone up and my win/rate against control hasn't gone down noticeably.
I used x2 Explosive Sheep now and it work well for me. But I'll keep in mind about the changes between -1 Explosive Sheep and add +1 Wild Pyromancer back to have x2 like it used to be before. I'll also collecting data from others to see their feedback as well.
Thank You for testing this deck with me. I got 1 more helper now to help make this deck better! :)
Btw, there few cards now I am working on with this deck. Muster for Battle, Quartermaster, & Coghammer. If you had testing with these cards. Would you mind to shared your result as well? :)
unfortunately I only have 1 Quartermaster and none of the others atm.
Theory crafting though I could see putting a Coghammer in for sure. I honestly think though to run Muster for Battle and Quartermaster, you would have to change this deck around to the point that it would be unrecognizable. Muster also gives you a weapon, so you don't want to be using it when you have a Truesilver Champion or Coghammer. You also need to have 8 mana in one turn or over 2 turns to get them out of your own aoe range. I don't think I would ever run Muster with Wild Pyromancer and/or Explosive Sheep. I think if you are going to run muster/quartermaster, it needs to have a deck built around it like Trump's latest one.
Again though, just theory crafting, please use someone who's tested it opinion over mine on the subject.
edit: Actually, I think I might craft Coghammer and try it out and try Shielded Minibot instead of Zombie Chow.

Ok this is the version of the deck I'm trying out right now.
