What a glorious day, you guys made me want to stream again. You can check me out right now, will work on a schedule. Love getting to know the HearthPwn family better.
Hi friends, I'm back with another deck! This season I wan't to reach legend with decks I created only, in the quickest or most fun way possible. My Face Hunter seemed to stagnate around rank 7 so I decided time to make another deck for those last ranks and it absolutely rocks! I took a look at paladin because it got some good new cards and this control style deck is what I came up with after 1 or 2 games. I fixed the absence of Azure Drake and good 4-drops with a nice The Curator package. it's absolutely insane so far, going 31-7 from rank 8 to 3!
Feel free to add me and spectate while I'currently playing this deck.
I'm a multiple times legend player and infinite arena player. I wil write detailed guide for mulligans an card choices once the deck gets some love.
SHORT GUIDE: This deck can out-last, out-value or fatigue almost every opponent. These are the win conditions. This deck is so good in what it does due to the absolute board clears, the immense value Stonehill Defender gives in paladin (class cards 60% so totally normal to get a second Tyrion Sunkeeper Tarim or Wickerflame), anti aggro cards like Fire Fly, Dirty Rat, Doomsayer and Spikeridged Steel, the general quality of minions and the card draw from The Curator etc.
Against aggro match ups: Mulligan for firefly, doomsayer and Stonehill defender and keep concecration most times. Then just play on curve and use the board clears wisely. Spikeridged steel is usually the nail in the coffin.
Against other: Mulligan for Twilight Drake and Stonehill Defender. play on curve and bait out his full board to use board clears well. Don't forget to make a dude when you play Sunkeeper. Use Stonehill to get another Tyrion or Tarim ;)
BTW SHOUTOUT TO Stonehill Defender ! What an absolute sick card in Paladin decks. Always a Tyrion, Wickerflame or Sunkeeper Tarim!
PROOF AND WINRATES: Winrates
Winrate is actually 31-7 due to two disconnects, one certain win became a loss and the other decktracker just didnt count the eventual win. New proof coming.
Miracle rogue seems to be the only match up i always lose with this deck, any tips?
prob just a bad matchup, they can wait to kill you since you dont have any armor, and cant put on much pressure, plus they got really nice single target removal. not much you can do. I have experience with miracle (main deck) and i am experienced with control pal from last season as well, just my input.
the best you can probably do is try to play aggressively because rogue cant heal, and keep the board clear
That's kind of strange. I am the happiest ma in the world when I see miracle rogue. Winrate should be almost 100% (mine is 18-1 now)

Replacement for Wickerflame Burnbristle im currently just using a Grimestreet Informant for the chance to grab him/other good class cards
other than that its a really good deck especially for somebody who loves paladin such as myself
Playing you as I'm writing this, good luck buddy.
As much as I love Elise the Trailblazer in my opinion most games it will just be a 5 for 5/5. This deck does not run any card draw besides The Curator so if your goal is to get the pack it will be in fringe cases aka getting lucky drawing it early or in a control v. control matchup towards the end of the match. I think Elise the Trailblazer is better in Priest where you have better card draw and Shadow Visions to get the pack faster.
If you still want to run it I would probably cut an Ivory Knight for it.
Same rank as you and it has like 80% winrate, so maybe you just don't know how to play it yet. And yes i'm in EU.
what paladin legendary should i craft? Wickerflame? Ragnaros, the lightlord? Sunkeeper? I have Tyrion, and I think lay on hands is good replacement for rag, the light.
I suggest Wickerflame Burnbristle since Ragnaros, Lightlord will rotate off the earliest and Lay on Hands is a great replacement for him. Next should be the Sunkeeper Tarim and if you have extra dust and you REALLY want to make this deck then get Ragnaros, Lightlord last.
IMO
Oh, didn´t know, sorry. My mistake.
Hey boom, nice deck!
I am running a similar version since a few days (finally crafted Sunkeeper two days ago lol), but I dropped the second Twilight Drake e.g. for a Primordial Drake. That is doing more for me than drawing the Twilight in the late game. Plus it is a nice curve play with the Curator ;)
My take on the deck: VOD Deck Control Zoo Paladin
Youtube-Player:
Yesterday I was at rank 8. Today at rank 5 with only 1 loss and massive winstreak. Rank 5 was my goal as I'm a casual player but I'm certain that it is legend material.
Thanks for posting the deck! It is so much fun and matches always feel win-able.
I know right? I've never gone for legend because i don't like the grind. But this deck is just so good and fun to play i might just give it a shot.
finally some paladin deck!
This deck inspired me to build my own control pally deck
N'Zoth seems terrible in that deck imo, way too few deathrattles.
What kind of Deathrattle card would you add to get more value out of N'Zoth?
Hydrologist and Stonehill Defender can give you multiple Tirions. Thats the reason why i added N'Zoth
You'd still be relying on getting Tirions from Stonehill Defenders, wich can be unreliable. Another Tirion from Hydrologist has never happened for me once and i've played OP's deck from rank 20 to rank 3. And even if you got 2 Tirions from N'zoth the value is a bit less because you can't stack weapons.
I think N'Zoth is okay in that deck but the problem to me is that you're taking out alot of great control cards in order to make him work. Stampeding kodo and doomsayer are livesafers sometimes. And Twilight drake is an insane card against control decks.
Tar Creeper works well for me
