So, my daughter decided that she wanted to make her own deck after playing my mage deck.  I have to be honest, the little kid in me loves this deck. It was a join effort after all..  I mean, what's not to love?  We have big creatures.  We have spells that keep us from dying and we have BIG CREATURES. 

What's the point of  this deck?  Well, besides having a blast, it's to last long enough to play your giant, soul crushingly awesome monsters that as my daughter says: "Won't they be so impressed when they see me play this?"  Uh, well.. I'm sure they'll feel something.  

Lets break down this madness shall we?  Below I've posted a quick walk through of a game that's 110% representative of how every game might go down.

Alright, lets explain some card choices.  

Spells:

Arcane Explosion:

Me:  "I like this card in your deck  I think it will be good to kill all the creatures early on.  What do you think?" 

Her:  "I don't want to do this."

Frostbolt:

Me:  "You have to have it in a Mage deck.  It's too good at killing creatures."

Her:  "I just want to talk about the big cards.  The cards that cost a lot of mana."

Arcane Intellect:

Me:  "Again I can't think of a reason not to have this card.  You need to have a way to draw cards in a deck.  Why do you like it?"

Her:  "Ugh.  I don't know why I like it.  I just really like the big cards.  The ones that will defeat "him"."

Ok, looks like we'll be skipping right over spells.  On to the "big ones".

Big ones:

Ysera:

Me:  "Its a fun card to play with late in the game.  The cards it gives you are really helpful."

Her:  "I like it because it gives me really special cards that I can't have."

Deathwing:

Me:  "I wouldn't put it in my deck, but I think it can be good to play very last in your deck."

Her: "Is this the one that discards your hand and you just got?  Because it's really powerful and has twelve power if he has twelve health.  If the bad guy has twelve health"

 

Alexstrasza:

Me:  This card is great for giving yourself more time or to do a lot of damage right to the "other guy".

Her:  "I don't usually use it very much on them.  Only on me.  I like it because I can make me have health, in case I'm dying.

Ragnaros:

Me:  "If you're playing a lot of big creatures you have to play him.  He's the best."

Her:  "You mean the red one that has 8/8?  Uhm.. I don't really like it because it shoots randomly."

Aaaand she's now ignoring me to play with our kitten.
