Hi guys :)
My name is kiradoss and i'm from Germany :D.
I'm an experienced mage who plays since closed beta and
i want to share with you the deck that brought me from rank 15 to 5 this season.
Because i'm very excited for the new secrets in ungoro i decided to play an Aggro-Secret-Mage :p.
My winrate with this deck is 68% so far.
With or without coin u always mulligan for Mana Wyrm .
This guys can do well vs every class!
With or without coin u always keep Kabal Lackey .
Dont play him with Effigy , if your Kabal Lackey is most likely geting killed.
Dont play him with Counterspell , if your opponent is holding the coin.
Dont play him with Ice Block , unless u have Medivh's Valet for a potential favourable trade.
With or without coin u can always keep Sorcerer's Apprentice .
She is a solid 2-Drop and will take care of creatures like Tunnel Trogg and Northshire Cleric and if you are lucky u can maybe benefit from cheaper spells.
With or without coin you can keep Medivh's Valet if you have already Kabal Lackey and a secret.
With or without coin, dont keep a secret unless you have Kabal Lackey or with coin Kirin Tor Mage .
With or Without coin versus Mage, Priest and Shaman u can keep Frostbolt .
It will take care of other Mana Wyrm , Sorcerer's Apprentice , Flamewaker , Northshire Cleric , Tunnel Trogg and other potentially threats.
With coin you can keep Kirin Tor Mage .
You can play her with any secret you have. Ice Block the least important unless you need a permanent for a valuable Medivh's Valet trade.
Try to get your Effigy on Kabal Crystal Runner or Azure Drake . Your 3-Drops are ok too.
Playing Medivh's Valet without secret can be worth it.
Keep your Fireball for heavy taunts and as finishers.
Fight as long as you can for boardcontrol but be the aggressor, go always face unless you can do favourable trades.
Always think about that your secrets will make your Kabal Crystal Runner cheaper.
Dont get salty about pirate warriors :D, it is the baddest matchup for this deck. If you encounter many pw's tech in Acidic Swamp Ooze for Ethereal Arcanist and Azure Drake .
guide coming soon...
Having alot of fun playing this. Subbed out effigy for poly pot and a vape because of standard rotation.
Went from Rank 15 to Rank 12 win rate about 50% because of bad starts and the insane amount of pirates.
Fun and surprisingly aggressive deck to play.
hi dragoon
imo 8 games arent enough to judge this deck...
i absolutely wrecked all kind of control decks and jade druids, most of the time it was an instant win for me.
they have nearly no early game and this is where u shine.
my final boss to legend was a jadedruid, i won on turn 5!
pw's and dragon priests were my worst matchup too. but here i was able to sneak wins through very good hands.
as i said before, u dont need any aoe!
i looked up your comments on other decks...and well...u disliked all decks u commented on.
and with every deck u had like 1-9, 2-9, 3-9...how is it coming?
decks which got like more than 800 upvotes, decks piloted to legend from many other players.
now, can u tell me pls who u are?
Posting my game stats below, but for now I'd like to talk about the deck strictly from a play style point of view. It has some issues with bad hands, but normally solid mulligans can get you out of that situation or running into your draw early. The opening hand and opponent really determines if you're an aggro deck or hard tempo. It seems to struggle with classes that have a lot of value generation or early board swarm, although I've managed to beat pirate warrior every time so far. Overall I've really enjoyed playing it, It's definitely a breath of fresh air in a stale meta.
Rank 15-13 10 Games Played:
2-0 Anyfin Paladin (It seems they don't have enough early clear or tempo to handle the pressure. Make sure to try and time counter spell on turns that combo clear)
1-1 Dragon Priest (Even in the case that you get a well placed mirror or counter to potion, they generally manage to just out value you)
2-0 Pirate Warrior (This one is difficult, but don' t be afraid to slam things onto the board as fast as possible. Use fireballs defensively and keep board control until they run out of gas)
0-1 Aggro Shaman (Tunnel Trog + Doggies pretty much shuts you down)
2-0 Jade Druid (It seems like keeping board against them is surprisingly easy. In most cases you can kill around turn 8. The biggest jade I've seen managed is 6/6)
1-0 Miracle Rogue (Counter Spell and Mirror deter combos and threaten Edwin turns, the early game pressure normally smacks them squishy)
I'm going to continue to play the deck and see how far I can climb, having a lot of fun so far. If you're thinking about trying it out, It's definitely worth it.
hi bass :)
what exactly is terrible? why do u think so?
3-3 the deck really suffers from bad-hand-syndrome. also lacking in boardclears. only games i won i had god hands
hi :)
sry that it didnt work out for you ;(.
on which rank do u play?
maybe u can play some more games with it? 6 games isnt that much...
u dont need any boardclears in this deck, it is an aggressive one. my games are ending turn 8 on average...so which aoe i should take?
after getting rank 3 my winrate is 65% now :).
I've played 7 games from Rank 10-9 with a record of 7-1. Pretty great deck! :)
nice ;)
Rank 14 - Stats after 6 Games 1-5 ... not so satisfying
...edit 10 Games 2-8 :) ... playing only against Ultra defenisve Opponents. Pirate Meta ffs
which opponents did u have?
