To win with this deck, distract and deflect your opponent's early incursions while you patiently build the necessary cards for a massive Hounds counterattack combo, which requires 6+ mana to fully achieve.

Early Strategy:

Almost never play a card on turn 1 except possibly Tracking (Usually you don't stand to gain much by playing it this early. Save it for when you need to find a key card for your combo.) Turn 2 is usually a hunter-blast, but if your opponent doesn't have anything out yet a Dire Wolf Alpha is a decent play. Turn 3 either Ironfur Grizzly / Animal Companion to provide more distraction to your opponent, or Arcane Shot + hunter blast. Repeat similarly for the next few turns, playing a Houndmaster or Savannah Highmane if appropriate. Avoid playing Starving Buzzard or Timber Wolf if possible, you'll need them for the combo later.

Combo Power!

When the time is right (you have enough mana, you have the cards you need, and your opponent has 3+ minions on board, or at least 2 if the situation is dire): Starving Buzzard - Timber Wolf - Unleash the Hounds. If you have enough mana to lead with another Starving Buzzard you can fill your hand with cards. If you can get a Scavenging Hyena or two out as well (conveniently, you may draw them with your buzzard power), then they can become massive, able to finish off your opponent the next few turns after the Hounds clear the board for you. Add another Timber Wolf or Dire Wolf Alpha for bonus attack, if you desire. Houndmaster is a good play the next turn to boost whatever beast you have left on board, but it's probably too expensive to get out the same turn as your combo.
