General idea is to kill them with tokens + savage roar.
Play conservatively with Innervate for Force of Nature + Savage Roar x 2 = 22 damage, you've got to consider whether playing Innervate for tempo advantage is better than saving it for the combo :p
Not so sure about this deck, maybe it works for rank 5 and below, but between 10 and 5 it sucks the fat one. No taunts, aside from bear form of DotC, and very few amount of minions from turn 1-3 make this deck an easy win for anything aggro, as well as zoo. Seems like a horrible deck for the current meta. Violet teacher is useless if you can only get 1 token off, because you had to use the rest of your spells just to live.
TL/DR: Sure it combos nice 1 outta 3 or 4 games, but unless you pull a harvest golem, you're playing catch up entire game. Way too often I'm sitting with 5-6 cards in hand with nothing I can play to bring the game in my favor.
Just played 8 games with this deck and went 8-0 very quickly. Probably even a better climb than warlock. Replaced BGH with BK.
What can you use instead of Bloodmage Thalnos? I don't have any legendarys but every other card on the list.
Guys - what is the Mulligan strategy and early play for this game? I struggle against rush decks and en up sacricifing my low budget cards which reduces my burst window for later in the game. Combo only works on turn 6-9 and its easy to get faced down before.
Thanks man
UPDATE: I just hit legend with this deck. The only thing I changed is Bloodmage Thalnos, I replaced him with Cenarius, like Crk1337 suggested. Thalnos is good for the card draw and the occasional improved wrath/swipe, but Cenarius saves your ass when you're running out of steam and works as a nice ramp for the wombo combo. I'm gonna write a guide to this deck and link this page if it's ok with you :)
isn't fon+roar x2 a total of 28 damage?
edit: no idea why this comment was placed here, must have misclicked somewhere
maybe i read the decks description and decided it was wrong.
i noticed it's doing that a lot...
He is referring to 1x Force of Nature + 2x Savage Roar. Which is 22 damage and can be done on a single turn with innervate.
Nope, it's 22. FoN + Roar is 14, to which you need to add 8 more damage of the second Roar for the three treants and for your hero. 14 + 8 = 22
ah well i didn't think that's what it meant since the innervate itself wasn't mentioned. I stand corrected :)
Wonderful deck for climbing ladder.
this is fun deck, i was never good at token druid, this feels easier, the combos are really fun, i have played out so many games i thought i already loss due to them having crazy good opening hand or whatever, and ended up winning cause the burst damage is real, pew pew gotcha.
This is perfect for ladder climbing due to the speed. This deck gave me my quickest win ever, which is a 4th turn kill againts a handlock.. It is also a very good counter to miracle rogue.
FoN can't be replaced. It's a core card for the combo.
I struggled for days at rank 5 with my previous decks, but when I tried this out I went from rank 5 to rank 3 UNDEFEATED, and now I'm rank 1, with a 66% win rate! I beat priests, control warriors, handlocks, miracle rogues, hunters, paladins...hell, I even beat another token druid: it was a classic Gadgetzan/Violet Teacher + shitty moonfire deck. This deck is SICK, man! The thing I like most about it is that it lets the enemy waste his spells on your early minions, and that it doesn't rely so much on the Violet Teacher: even if the opponent kills her, it's no big deal. I won my last game against a handlock on turn 7, pulling a huge combo: Force of Nature, Innervate, Innervate, Coin, Savage Roar, Savage Roar!!!!!! It was awesome!!!
This looks an awful lot like my current deck, though I have Illidan Stormrage and The Black Knight in place of Big Game Hunter and a Force of Nature. Currently at rank 4, hoping to get to Legend within the next few days!
