Little Red Riding Hood has grown up...
and her Kindly Grandmother has given her some Spooky Eggs to take back home...
She needs the most seasoned Hunter to escort her safely.
....
or is that her Stalker?!
Anti-Meta Techs:
- Kindly Grandmother allows for multiple early game trades, in particular against Aggro. Immediate synergy with Houndmaster Shaw, with no need for triggers.
- Mossy Horror is there against popular token cards: Giggling Inventor, Spreading Plague, Saronite Chain Gang, Silver Hand Recruit, Flametongue Totem&co. It can also be used as an emergency Egg activator, but use it carefully, because it can kill a quantity of your own minions too.
- Gluttonous Ooze is a nice tech against a variety of popular decks, from Aluneth Mage to Odd Rogue, and beyond.
- Feign Death allows for more highroll than Play Dead, and is not vulnerable to Skulking Geist.
- Sylvanas Windrunner is sexy (as a sidenote, she can be damn lethal in a Deathrattle Hunter, and can highroll against Big Priest).
- Finally, Stitched Tracker is there to get exactly the cards/techs you need, while doubling their quantity within your deck (you get copies).
Against Combo Druids, your best bet is an aggressive strategy. Mulligan hard for Eggs, and secondarily for Deathrattle triggers. Try to have Loatheb and/or Mossy Horror ready before they reach 6 mana.
EDIT: back to Cubes.
Carnivorous Cube will be very big in egg hunters, I believe 😄😁
Thanks for giving me more confidence so early 😆😅
Updated with Play Dead, Bonemare and other sticky deathrattles.
Need to put in the description that this is a wild deck.
How did you go playing this deck? How is it in this meta? I like playing hunter but in this meta it doesn't work very well in general.
I didn't try to climb with any deck, yet.
What I know for sure is that this can carry you to R15 with ease (sure, nothing special, but given the current state of Hunter...), and I'm pretty sure it can easily go further.
Also, Hunter is a bit underestimated. Weaker than we're used to, but still capable to win decently.
Because of the tempo swings that this deck can generate, I find fundamental to know when it is time to trade for board, and when it is time to start ignoring board and push for face.
I find its greatest weakness to be against Control decks, when you can't push hard enough.
Aggro you can deal with through the right traps at the right moment.
However, I have to test it more myself (possibly some more Cat Trick has to go, and make room for more deathrattle for consistency).
So, I transformed this deck from a full-blown Secret Hunter into a Hybrid Secret/Deathrattle(handbuff) Hunter.
If anything, your opponent will be quite unprepared to your strategy.
Problem is I don't have it to test. :P
My concern is that you would waste tempo to play LnL (2 mana) and you need to be quite lucky to be able to use enough spells in one turn together with it.
But if you can test it, I'd sure love some feedback.
