Strategy

Mulligan Guide: Haunted Creeper, Voidwalker, Possessed Villager, and Succubus are all good to start. Anything you can play early or allows you to discard cards will help you get out of Rain of Fire range that much quicker.

Even though Grand Widow Faerlina doesn't have her ability on auto-cast, it is still cheap enough to cause you problems for several turns at the start of the match. Don't get discouraged if she kills the first few minions you play because you will quickly be able to empty your hand and take control of the board. You will always want to immediately kill any Worshipper that she plays, or she will get out of hand very quickly.

Around turn five you shouldn't have any trouble playing whatever you draw and start using your hero power to overwhelm her with minions. It is important to note that in order to receive the bonus from Tiny Knight of Evil you must actually discard a card. If you have nothing in your hand, then it will not trigger his ability when you play Soulfire, Succubus, or Doomguard.

Deck Notes

If you are missing the Rare cards you can always replace them with Commons, such as Zombie Chow, Amani Berserker, Annoy-o-Tron, or Bloodfen Raptor. You really want to hang on to Doomguard as he is a great way to discard anything you have left in your hand, making her hero power useless. He is also a great finisher and large enough to clear any troublesome minions on the other side of the board.

I've tried various classes with this encounter and most of them just aren't as solid as Warlock, in my opinion. If you'd like to give something else a try here are some other top-rated decks for this encounter below.
