***********NAXXRAMAS UPDATE *************
POST NAX
This is my new variation of Mill druid for Naxx. It does quite well vs most match ups. I will write a more thorough review soon !
**possible cards - *Slude Belcher, Wild Pyromancer
*****
PRE NAX
Some will say what ? why ? naturalize ? I think this card is amazing. I have been play testing with it for some time and it plays really well. I noticed a high spike in handlock and miracle rogue on the ladder and was curious how I could punish these decks while increasing my win rate vs them.
Naturalize does this, the satisfaction of seeing your opponent not only lose his 8/8 and 2 more random cards is both pleasing and a massive tempo for yourself. Most of these handlocks and miracle rogue decks play but a few creatures and nearly always have maxed cards and Naturalize takes advantage of this to the max.
Yes the card has its disadvantages but their smaller then most would think when reading the card "oh my opponent draws 2 cards? this card is terrible", In no means in this card good in every match but it can be. Not only can it be combo'd with your gadgetzans but unlike BGH it can be played on any creature possibly saving you letting you stabilize and win the game.
Give it a shot, let me know what you think, if you think playing 2 naturalizes is crazy you can always swap 1 for a BGH, claw, or moonfire are all good swaps
This deck is a powerhouse !
Powerful turns hardly ever have a dead play.
Mulligans -
VS ZOO - I typically muligan for wrath's, claws, swipes any type of removal this is a tough match up but it can be beat, I would say its a 50/50 but with the right draws it can be much higher in your favor.
VS Handlock - Muligan for Keeper of the grove / moonfire or some other single point of dmg to kill drakes and of course BGH. I feel this deck has a high win rate vs handlock
VS Miracle Rogue - I mulligan for innervates, wild growths, wrath mostly, you want to get bigger creatures out as soon as possible so your opponent is killing your guys instead of you.
VS Hunter - Mulligan for removal / Druid of the claw. Play aggresivly but dont swarm the board Violet teacher can be bad in this matchup I feel.
VS Rush Paladin - Again Mulligan for removals the key to winning this match up is board control always kill their units if possible paladin runs so many buffs that can give them postive trades.
Most other match ups muligan for innervate + big guy + removals its a easy deck to play but practice and knowledge of the deck will show over beginners with this deck.
I replaced 1 moonfire and 1 savage roar for a Healing touch and BGH. I feel these cards give a huge advantage against handlock / Miracle rogue but feel free to experiment however !
Enjoy the deck !
you can add me on Bnet at Vague#1400 if you ever want to skrimmish or ask questions !
*** dont be afraid to heal with your Ancient or Lore, you can get some awesome card draws with gadgetzan.
I play Druid, and I ran into one of these the other day. I saw it for what it was immediately, and I sort of wrecked it. I find this deck, once deprived of the element of surprise, is rather easy to play around, especially if you opt for an aggressive start.
Playing this against handlock is hilariously awesome, when they drop a mountain giant for 3 mana and you blast them with naturalise it is so satisfying, it completely destroys them and punishes their play style.
Hmm. This deck absolutely get's demolished by zoo. Or has everyone I've played. It holds its own against pretty much everything else tho so far.
dude i've been a huge fan of naturalize for a while. 1 mana to destroy any minion you want, obviously you have to give them something in return. you think your opponent wants his 9/9 taunted molten giant or 2 random 3 drops from his deck? i run it in a silly overdraw deck i use and i love it in your miracle deck. BGH rots away in your hand and claw is super meh
Not new deck.
I've all the cards but one acient of lore. Obviously I'm on the way of crafting it but since I dont afford for it now, what do you recomend me for his replacement?
played 6 matches with it not as good as you claimed it to be sorry but this deck has a few to many problems...Handlock naturalize is to much of a gamble and you feed his engine way to well...Gave it 20 games got 45% win rate....better luck next time.
Any room for Blackknight or Cenarius? I have em laying around and black knight good vs a variety of decks in this meta. Cenarius i'll guess is too slow atm.
I really don't think either is needed, you have a lot of removal and 2 silences in this deck. If i were to add one of the two it would be black knight I'v never liked cenarius. to fit the black knight i would probably cut 1 azure drake or 1 gadgetzan depending on which felt was not pulling its weight as much.
SIndo23 yah you can def swap out healing touch for savage roar or even possibly a BGH depending on your playstyle
I been using this exact deck for like 3 week, I like having 2 savage roar for more surprise damage.
