No-Minion Thief Priest Decksperiment
The hypothesis: Priest has countless ways to take their opponent's cards, which means you don't even need minions in your deck to win games!
I'm sure it's been said a thousand times in this thread , but why suggest adding minions? Why? Why? Why? Why?
Should have a single 10 mana minion somewhere so that you win every joust.
Otherwise you will lose them all and your opponent will out-tempo you.
I recommend Yogg.
this deck is pretty damn awful but i guess its fun to play for a game or two
I copy of Resurrect might be ok. Have to use it quite late so always mulligan away. But, potentially stronger than some other cards here.

Tried it...Like it...Fun to play. A lot different from all the same decks that float around. Gets real interesting when you face off vrs priest running same deck.
I don't understand why people would make comments like this. "this deck might be playable." That's like saying "that movie might be watchable." "This food might be edible."

This is a really good deck that needs just a few modifications to be competitive. First and foremost, shadowform needs to be removed because it is a huge tempo swing and will lose you the game in most cases. Don't get me wrong, I love shadowform, but because of the tempo swing, it needs to either be a 0 cost or 1 cost card - which is fair, considering you are trading away your ability to heal. I sincerely hope that this change is made in the future, as it will allow priest to finally outshine the other classes without the need for new cards.
I also removed Holy Smite since it does not synergize with anything but Holy Nova. One Forbidden Shaping was also removed since I find it extremely difficult to get the second one to curve properly. Shadow Madness is also another card that you only need one of because it is so difficult to use in this meta if you are using it with the intent to snipe. Both Power Word Shields were removed since they serve no purpose in this deck. These are the only cards I replaced, and in their place I replaced them with:
+ 1 Mind Games
+ 2 Doomsayer - HUGE tempo swing in your favor if you play them in the beginning or if you save them both and play them both at the same time near the end of the game which will buy you a round to either play yogg or some other big minion you stole.
+ 1 Yogg-Saron - this deck has no card draw, and yogg is a good answer to that if you are lucky. I only play him if I am losing, or if I have played less than seven spells. I find that playing any more spells than that will end in disaster - but if a board clear is what you are aiming for, then the more spells you use before using yogg, the better.
+ 2 Shifting Shades - These are for tempo just in case you were not able to draw minions with thought steal and mind vision.
So far, I have had incredible luck with this build and it is extremely fun to play with.
EDIT 7/14 - I have removed -2 convert and replaced them with +2 resurrect. Currently at Rank 5 with this build. If you decide to go with the resurrect derivative of this build, the only cards you want to mulligan are doomsayer and resurrect. If you are lucky, this will buy you 4 free turns with nothing on the board, allowing you breathing room to use your high cost cards. This is very good against the aggro plague.

It does, but it's inefficient.
Inefficient as it may be, I assume that you are more than welcome to modify it to your own liking, but to ask the author to go against the principle theory of the deck is absurd. Anyway, this is a have fun deck, so if you want to climb with it, better make the changes you see fit.

Author here, great suggestions! Love that you're taking the deck and trying to make it viable. I'm kinda arbitrarily restricted within the confines of the "experiment," so I'm happy to see people expanding on the idea and making it better. Good stuff!
I did your changes and i am like 10 wins and 2 losses now (rank 13 only). And its the best fun ive had in ages!
I'm 4-0 with this deck! I just love crushing control warriors dreams with this :) Haven't had this much fun in HS in a while! Thanks for the decklist :)

Maybe summoning stones with Yogg would improve the deck? And I doubt that spell priest might work in standard. Lightbomb is a very big deal.
Please add a Yogg to this
