I came back here after months, years even, to find the ruins of a once great deck. Midway through evolutions and heavily outdated it needed some work, but I wasn't feeling writing an updated zoo guide for the modern game. So I decided to take it back to where it all began. A piece of hearthstone history. The first deck that truly shattered the metagame. And where more appropriate than here, the resting place of the guide that started it all. My build of OG zoo that haunted the ladder right back in season 1.

I had the same thing happen to me when I tested Zombie Chow. Its pretty good when in the opening hand otherwise its a dead card mid match, and it is pretty awful when you have 2 dead cards mid match when trying to build up the board. The deck without this card feels much better and consistent. This card feels really bad vs druids where you can hit them in the face a lot before they actually play something like a taunt because it just undoes a lot of the damage you done to them.
Thoughts on the Construct Quarter cards? What should I replace for Zombie Chow?
I've been using undertakers and dancing swords and they're doing great, makes it quite a bit more aggressive and also makes egg drops do a bit more.
4/4 for 3 mana is great, when you're aiming to be aggressive you can hit face for more dmg quicker than harvest (i still use harvest too) and the second harvest phase usually gets removed cheaply. Having your opponent draw a card when you have a super fast deck that is basically all 1 to 4 mana is proving to be irrelevant.
I started seeing some new Zoo lists include x1 Cult Master. Thoughts?
There is now no early game taunts.
How do you keep wolves alive?

i find it does surprisingly well in mirror matches
i don't know if it's just luck, but i get doomguard often @ deathrattle. at once instance, it was pulled from my hand.
While it may ruin some of the deck's consistency, I feel plopping Loatheb into the deck somewhere might help a lot against AoE removal for your usually large board presence with the deck. The problem is, I don't know what single card to cut out.
2nd para of Playing the deck is the same thing written twice. (I'm not complaining though)
Death lord is great in this deck, big taunt for 3 mana is a huge boost. The dragging out random minions thing can actually be really good too, I dragged out a keeper of the grove just before and the guy rage quit.

I'd weigh the risks of what they each achieve. Do you have board control and your opponent have a problematic 3 or 4 health drop coming up you want to be rid of quickly? Save them and see. If you can get your opponent low enough that you can Soulfire around a taunt, do that. If you have NO board, and you can easily kill what he has on the field, play the Doomguard and trade.
Nowhere does he say take out the eggs. He said take out the seargents.
i see what you mean, it can be misinterpreted though since he says to "put in cards for other cards" which could either mean to replace it or for the benefit of. I assume you're right though and he meant "replace the abusive seargeants with power overwhelming to benefit nerubian eggs" :)

I would probably replace the clerics instead of the abusive seargeants. If you can't pop the eggs with power overwhelming Cards like sergeant and dark iron dwarf are the next best thing because a 2/2 lets you trade better than a ⅓ especially against a mirror match.
On a side note, adding power overwhelming may clear up room for something like a void terror. I haven't been higher then rank 5 as zoo lock so i'm interested to hear from more experienced players on their opinion of something like void terror.
You're stuck at rank. 20 because the new season just started.
Everyone of rank around 13 will start at rank 20, so atm, people will be harder.
I think that's the accepted trade.
