Hi there, I'm Bloor, an Italian streamer and legendary player. This is a very funny and competitive deck that I'm using right now to climb until legend.
Maybe you heard about me because my Secret Paladin, Midrange Druid and Reno Paladin have been in the Hearthpwn Home Page for a very long time. You can find my decks here: http://www.hearthpwn.com/members/Bloor/decks
First of all, I played "Echo Mage" for a very long time and this is one of my favourite deck in Hearthstone, and also one of the deck I can use better. Elise is a new card that could take a big value here, because you can Draw a lot and also gain value from duplicate. So, I decided to try a new version of the deck to use for this season. This is pretty the same version I played before, but with a few changes. I'm testing it right now but it seems stable. the deck is very DIFFICULT to use, so don't expect to take it and do a win streak, you need to practice before using it very well.
You can watch me while I use this deck here: http://www.twitch.tv/bloor95
Mulligan Guide:
- Shaman: Acolyte of Pain, Mad Scientist, Frostbolt, Doomsayer
- Mage: Acolyte of Pain, Mad Scientist, Frostbolt
- Druid: Acolyte of Pain, Mad Scientist, Frostbolt, Illuminator, Polymorph
- Warlock: Acolyte of Pain, Mad Scientist, Frostbolt, Doomsayer
- Warrior: Acolyte of Pain, Mad Scientist, Frostbolt
- Rogue: Acolyte of Pain, Mad Scientist, Frostbolt
- Priest: Acolyte of Pain, Mad Scientist, Frostbolt
- Paladin: Acolyte of Pain, Mad Scientist, Doomsayer, Frostbolt
- Hunter: Acolyte of Pain, Mad Scientist, Frostbolt, Doomsayer
Strategy:
You need always to take the best value from your minions: Ping on Acolyte of Pain, Duplicate on Explosive Sheep if you're against deck like ZooLock, or on Sludge Belcher in general, but also Elise and Illuminator. Avoid duplicating Mad Scientist and Acolyte of Pain cause it's useless.
Every turn you need to think about what to play the next turn, because the deck is based on removing minion with AOE (Blizzard, Flamestrike, but also Frost Nova + Doomsayer) so you'll need to take the max value from these cards. If you can wait another turn because you think you're safe, just do it! Your win condition is to have Molten Giant on the ground and an IceBlock or healing to cover you. Obviously, you also need to play around classes like Priest, who can easily remove your Molten Giant board with Lightbomb: try putting only a Molten Giant on the ground (if you have more in your hand) and see what your opponent does: if you know he has not removal, play other giants.
Elise is also a win condition, but you don't have to play it if you're not in a safe condition. This deck is very difficult to use, and a single mistake could let you lose the game. the deck is VERY GOOD against deck like Secret Paladin or ZooLock, because you can easily remove their board and take advantage.
I really hope you liked the deck. It's really cool to play it and I am actually using it to master my Mage to 500 wins (450 actually), and I have over 200+ games played with my old version of "Echo Mage" without Elise. Let me know what you think about it! Thanks! :)
I run double Blizzard and single Flamestrike now, because I've lost severat times to aggro having two flamestrikes and no AoE turn6.
This deck is really good. I like the idea having both good anti-aggro game via echo and good anti-control game via elise.
I'm kinda disappointed that thaurissan is not a part of dublicate deck, cuz possible tripple cost reduction is sick. But on the other hand, moltens doesn't need that, and it kind of nonbo with elise too. And I don't know what can be replaced with it, cuz every card just looks right. But I guess I should run some experiments.
This deck is my first time trying any of the Freeze/Duplicate/Echo archetype (which incidentally I absolutely hate playing against) and damn, it is fun. This deck has tools, and they really need to be used wisely to win. And when it's working for me I kind of feel a little guilty.
My first post here, just to tell you how awsome this deck is :D
lost my first match to a priest (had no idea how to play against a control priest)
but as for now im on a 7-winning streak on rank 6!
Fun deck. And it seems to work too, which is always a plus! :-)
i cannot win vs renolock and warrior...
Any replacement for one Ice Block?
it's me again
i know it's kinda stupid, but it was totally worth it OpieOP
i like this deck
Enjoy this deck so much!
Impressed! Won all the Mid-Range Druid I met at Rank 5!
2 lose
i not gonna play anymore
tempo is better
lol
Echo # 2 maybe.
why no emperor Thaurissan?
Is this another variant of Dog's Battlecry Mage?
Much closer to a giants mage than the battlecry list you're referring to.
Hey man I would like to start off by saying awesome deck. I have played 4 games and won all, I know you have said it is very hard to get used to but I have quit the experience with echo Mage. So it makes it that much easier to cooperate with. I would recommend playing this deck if you have echo Mage experience or just want to play a fun dominating deck.
You should call this deck fucking annoying.. Because its fucking annoying to play against it and it's fucking annoying to play it..
Whaaaat.... This deck is really fun to play with.
This deck counters aggro hard typically, so that might be your issue.
didn't say it was bad.. just annoying..
