So here is a fun twist on a tempo mage that i've thrown together. It has a 60% win rate rank 4-6 this season. 

Coin is helpful in this deck as it plays into flamewaker and archmage combo. Off the start you want to mulligan for your mana wyrm, missiles, flame cannon, frost bolt, portals, or mad scientists. With coin, i will keep a flamewaker if i have a turn 1 or 2 play, especially if that play is frostbolt, flame cannon, portal, or missiles. Don't hesitate to use your missiles early to keep board, sometimes i'm guilty of hoarding them for the Malygos combo. 

Thaurissan is best played when you have one of; Malygos, apprentice, or your missiles as collected from rhonin in hand. As this will set up Malygos combo end game. It is a beautiful thing to watch when it comes together and can be seen here: http://youtu.be/8BLoi6lS_m0?a 

I've recently added 2 Shredders as i found i was losing board control midgame and struggling to catch up. Before the deck had a second mana wyrm and flamestrike. What I've found is that keeping the board early allows for Ethereal Conjurers to be played without worry. Against aggro decks, blizzard, flamestrike, ice barrier, are good drafts (situationally of course) from your conjurer. Against tempo/combo/control it will be purely situational. 

2 counterspells are useful against priest, as it protects against Entomb. Also good against Druid if you can snipe a savage roar or force of nature. Try to get Effigy value as not many tempo mages are currently run it and most people don't see it coming. Land it on Rhonin, Archmage, or Malygos and you're laughing!
