My name is MrPinguin and I'm on the lonely mission to defeat the everyday life in Hearthstone. I had reached legend many times with a lot of misplays, lack of concentration, infinite luck and really boring decks. After a while I was really tired of the game, but instead of whining and complaining I decided to change something.

It's not your opponent who plays Secret Paladin, Anyfin Paladin, Paladin in arena or Paladin in general who makes the game unfun. It's you who decided to going mainstream with playing decks you don't like to have a positive winrate against these decks which makes the game less fun for you.

You like to play Priest, but you don't like boring Dragon Priest and do the same plays every game? You don't like unbelievable long games with Control Priest without a real win option? In that case it's time for Anduin to go on an adventure.

Guide:

Originally the deck was built around Confuse to have an answer to Summoning Stone, to trigger the Nerubian Eggs of your opponent or against the omnipresent Midrange Shaman to destroy his board full of Totems. Even Totemic Might isn't strong enough to stop Confuse.
After the core of the deck was built I was ready to create the rest of the deck.

After a lot of testing I realized that the card gives you an interesting other option.

Suddenly this purple dust appeared and I won the game.

 

I was really surprised that Hobgoblin have beside his overpowered body for three mana a really useful effect. This is the reason why I decided to fill up the deck with strong one attack minions like Tournament Medic, Mogu'shan Warden and Gnomeregan Infantry.
Your opponent will often underestimate your board, until you beat him out of the game.

 

On his turn 5 he played Swipe on Hobgoblin. But he decided to play on turn 4 Piloted Shredder which was the loosing play.

 

Thrall: Will never make jokes again about Tournament Medic.

 

Card choices & win condition:

You might be a little bit confused why there is a Ysera in the deck. This card doesn't interact with Hobgoblin and doesn't fit in the mana curve. Ysera interacts as second and third win condition. Your main win condition will be to control the board with Hobgoblin and his friends. Your second win condition will be to Confuse your opponent. Finally the third win condition is the massive impact of the extra cards of Ysera.

 

Sometimes Ysera will be out of control.

Beside Ysera your card draw package contains Northshire Cleric, Museum Curator, Jeweled Scarab and Acolyte of Pain. They are mediocre early game plays but strong tempo swings in the late game with Hobgoblin.
Maybe you are missing cards like Deathlord or Dark Cultist, but Museum Curator and Jeweled Scarab will discover this cards most of the time you need them.

Playstyle:

You have to try to not lose board control in the early stage of the game. You have to deal the early aggression of your opponent und prepare slowly your finishing move. Keep always in mind that your opponent thinks your minions are a joke and not threatening. That will help you for planing the next turns.

 

It's really important to still go face, even if your opponent played a taunt minion.

 

If your hand is good enough you can gamble that your opponent doesn't have an Ironbeak Owl.

Finally:

I don't promise you a great win rate with this deck. But I can promise that the games you will win compensate each loss you had before. I played the deck from rank 5 to rank 3 and had unique und funny situations. It's your turn to make this game great again!
