Are you tired of the boring meta decks out there? well i have something new and special for you, namely: The Spelldr00d.

I have gone from rank 10 to rank 2 in a days work using this deck, and i just keep going. So i felt like, wow, i need to share this with you guys. The world must discover the wonder that is the Spelldr00d!!

Card Choices

The healing and and armor spells is what keeps this deck pretty much immune to the aggro hunters, paladin, warriors and warlocks. Let em hit you, you're just going to heal up and clear the board. Again. And again. Aaaaaaand guess what? Again.

Untill finally Alexstrasza - Force of Nature + Savage Roar combo out of nowhere (alternatively use your spells to finish him of) and their face expression is now a precious memory of yours.

Now, dealing with handlocks, controll priests, warriors, shamans and minion heavy mages is another thing. Good we have that covered; Naturalize will see to your every need. Ragnaros, giants and ysera, gone in one mana crystal. Like this if you cry everytime.

All the low crystal trash minions that gets thrown at you must simply be treated with the Bite + Savagery with a Shapeshift combo. 5 health creatures like yetis and watchers are now gone. Like magic!

Now, why not go Wild Growth since we are going heavy acceleration style deck? I tried using them, but found them more of a pain than a remedy. If you get them at 7/8 crystals or late game 10 crystals, it can very well mean your defeat.

But hey! You are using Malygos, Y U NO Moonfire SPAM? The thing is, you are going to have used up your Moonfire before even coming to 9 mana crystals. Its also a combo, so they are very reliant on each other. Though, Bloodmage Thalnos and Moonfire can be great against aggro decks, they fall short when facing controll. I'd say Moonfire still is very viable, but its either them or Naturalize. One of them had to go, and sorry Moonfire, you didn't quite make the cut :(

But 2x Naturalize? what's going on? you will be giving your opponent 4x free cards!?

firstly: when facing an aggro: You are never going to use the Naturalize. Period. Probably.

When facing handlocks you burn their giants with it and to burn their cards aswell - profit. Which happens like everytime i've had a chance to use it. Controll warriors.. yeah throw em at Ragnaros the Firelord, Alexstrasza or Grommash Hellscream. (alex may get your health down, but i have one word for you: SUSTAINNNN) yeah sorry, i get carried away sometimes

With all the meat gone, you can handle all the vegetables he can throw at you with your sustain. Same goes for shaman and priest.

Tactics

Untill you have Alexstrasza you should blast all your spells on the opponents minions (don't you dare touch the hero!) Since you have such (wow) awesome card draw and mana acceleration with Nourish, Bloodmage Thalnos and Ancient of Lore, you should be sitting with Alexstrasza faster than a Lightning Bolt

About that Malygos, he is great to combo with Savagery since it actually scales with SP :0! Also, because this deck contains to 70% of spells, you dont need to be afraid to throw them away. When you are dropping Malygos there is always something you can cast the next turn.

The ideal is to get the 2+ mana crystals through Nourish at turn 5, or even earlier using coin or innervate. This is to be able to sustain yourself with your heal/armor card WHILE you are clearing the board/inflicting serious damage to the opponents face with your spells. This is NOT that important though, its just gonna give you that extra edge.

Oh and yeah, if you get Alexstrasza in your oppening hand, keep her. Chances might be you wont see her for a long time, better hold on tight to her. Its really np, you are going to stall the entire game anyways. Where's the popcorn?

Other Card choices

So maybe you dont have Malygos? fine, replace him with a Faceless Manipulator. Naturalize + Faceless Manipulator = Your Ragnaros are now mine - Mind Control style!

Oh and i replaced one Nourish with a Faceless Manipulator. Trust me, deck is now 20% (works every time) more failproof. Use it as in the tactic above

 

Starter Cards

For starter cards: Nourish - Innervate - Keeper of the Grove - Claw - Savagery(if you got a Claw) - Wrath - Naturalize (Handlock only) - Swipe - and finally Alexstrasza. All others you throw away

 

Also, i'd like to recommend playing this deck at ranks 1-8, it is a meta punisher, and therefore will not always fare well against decks that isnt based on the current meta.
