Hit rank 27 legend with deck. http://imgur.com/RItGRTq
Mulligan- Against Control decks you want Mountain Giants and Twilight drakes or try and get an ancient watcher and ironbeak owl combo. Put back everything else besides these 4 cards.
Against aggro decks- Try and get any taunts and keep molten giants. Also against aggro decks try not to life tap at all. Put back mountain giants because there is a pretty slim chance you will be able to play it. Most important thing in aggro match ups is to get a Hellfire. .
If you have any questions feel free to ask.
I'm missing Rag, Jaraxxus, and the faceless. I have those slots filled with 2 dark bombs and a power overwhelming. Would this work or do you have any suggestions for replacements for those cards?
People run Recombobs generally so maybe keep one DB
Hi!
Love handlock, except the moments when I get burned by two fireballs, then I want to rip my head off. :D
Anyway, I don't have Ragnaros the Firelord, Faceless Manipulator and Lord Jaraxxus but I am replacing them with another Hellfire, Antique Healbot and Alexstrasza. What do you think about those?
Now, I have a couple of questions:
1. Why use Earthen Ring Farseers instead of the Antique Healbots? I haven't tried it out fully yet but I think I need those strong heals after I drop the moltens while I am on low hp facing a mage/hunt ready to one shot me.
2. Is using Soulfire on yourself to get that extra kick with hp down to get the moltens out out of the question? Have you tried it?
3. Why no Darkbombs? I found it quite useful against those Mechwarpers.
Cheers!
Hello everyone. I play Warlock (Handlock). The maximum rating of 10 season "Legend 15". Recorded a video of the game with explanations in Russian for YouTube, who may come in handy.
is this deck still viable? and what about Kel'Thuzad? Can you use him in this deck
Loatheb is irreplaceable. His ability cannot be found on any other minions.
Sludge Belcher's closest substitute is Sunwalker.
I would say that you could use tastingo for a quick replacement of sludge volture. ... sun walker is too costly while tastingo is only 4 mana and can allow you to use more cards plus sun walker gets taken down easily
Could a Sylvanas fit into this deck? If yes, what should I replace?
I would say it can, but I don't think Sylvanas is a particularly outstanding card. If you REALLY wanted to put it in, I would suggest replacing mortal coil (as it is by far the most expendable card) or faceless as they have somewhat similar functions. The main issue with Sylvanas is that it's only real function is to make your opponents attack awkwardly, but it doesn't quite fit the needs of this deck which is to put up a bunch of taunt and gains tons of value out of cards.
You can probably replace rag with sylvanas, she's the one in most people's list.
The watcher owl combo is done over the course of two turns. For example, let's say you're against an aggro deck, then you can drop watcher on turn two, and if you don't have a sunfury protector, you can still owl your watcher and give it the ability to attack. So on turn three, you have some major board presence as you have the equivalent to a yeti and an owl. You can use the watcher to clear pesky minions on their board. And the author does give a brief description of how to play the deck against aggro and control decks which should give you a nice outline on what to mulligan for/how to play the deck. Mostly, you want to mulligan for giants but against aggro a watcher+owl/protector hand may be a good opener. Obviously, you also want to be looking for AOE clears like shadowflame or hellfire which will clear most aggro boards.
I know it's a far out request but at the moment, I am missing 7 cards from this deck.
Now I know it's kind of stupid to try out a handlock deck with only 25% giants but I think I might be able to modify it to make it work possibly. Cards I don't have to replace are Sylvanas and Cairne among others but two that I think I can add that I have are The Black Knight and Alexstrasza, any suggestions? I thank and encourage feedback please :D
You're probably missing too many cards at this point to make a handlock deck. One mountain giant and two twilight drakes are hardly enough value to be completely giving up board control early. I would suggest playing other decks until you can afford to craft some more cards before you try to go for the handlock deck. Some nice budget decks include token druid and most hunter decks. Without the dust to craft cards, decks like handlock, control warrior, and ramp druid are almost impossible to play as most of their cards don't really have good replacements
Saw someone else say that this deck is pretty hard to play against BL shamans and I would like to say the same thing is happening with Druids now. A lot of druids are using forces of nature+ savage roar which with no taunt in the way can do 14 damage to your face alone, never mind with them having any other minions on the board. Beware of this happening turn 8+, against druids it seems to be good to save your taunts for then.
A great card against that combo is sludge belcher, so it may be a good idea to save your sludge belcher until turn 7 (if you suspect they have an innervate) or turn 9. If you drop it at the right time, then they'll have to deal with that pesky little duo that ruins their combo
What could i replace rag with? also i only have 1 of each giant what do i put in there place? i only have 50 dust so crafting isnt an option and i have no money to spend on it. pls help that would be gr8 m8 :)
the giants are the backbone of the deck.. you can't substitute them
What can I replace BGH and faceless with? I'm kinda on a budget
Maybe Black Knight, Cairne, and Sylvanas if you happen to have those (I know it's much more expensive, but if you have them use them!) You might also consider an Azure Drake or two. Or you could also have a second defender of argus. The thing is, it depends on what decks you expect to be using the deck against. More aggro decks, the defender of argus may help more. More control decks, cairne, black knight, sylvanas will be good, but they probably won't be as good as BGH or faceless
I really love this deck. Been playing it for 2 weeks now! Most likely my favourite deck atm. :D
Funny thing is that since Trump started to play this deck aswell last weekend, I got messaged by people that I am a faggot copying TRUMP'S deck. :/
