Zoolock is a deck I have played since beta of Hearthstone and have enjoyed playing multiple versions of the deck and watching it evolve throughout adventures and expansions. Today, I'd like to theorycraft what League of Explorers could do to Zoolock.
The theme sticks true to the heart of Zoolock in that it seeks to flood the board with efficient minions to establish an assertive board control as early as possible.
What I want to try and make use of is the Reliquary Seeker which, despite being a 1 mana drop, is clearly a late game drop to use her to her maximum potential. More than likely, she'll be a drop after you have 5 mana crystals since a key combo here will be getting a good Imp-losion of 3 or 4 imps.
The tricky part here is that the enemy having 4 or 5 mana crystals is typically tricky for a lot of match ups:
- Swipe, Starfall
- Consecration
- Holy Nova, Auchenai Soulpriest + Circle of Healing
- Explosive Shot
- Rogue Hero Power + Deadly Poison + Blade Flurry, Dark Iron Skulker
- Lightning Storm
- Demonwrath, Hellfire, Shadowflame
- Abomination
In an attempt to counter this, the deck attempts to make use of Deathrattle summons to keep your board strong even after early attempts at board clear.
Does anyone see Reliquary Seeker being viable? Thoughts/suggestions?
Maybe you should put in a muklahs champion or two. I had a similar deck in arena, and when you have 2 champions down, its gg.
