It's almost 2016 and the deck still works
This is a deck with extreme control, and high damage combos.
And so I rise from the fire, with the first update in a month... Credit for Acolyte of Pain goes to Sobtanian, I'm thinking about a second Flamestrike, or Ice Barrier and getting rid of Arcane Explosion, or maby just adding another.
Ideal starting hand and how to play:
You wanna save your Fireball, Frost bolt, and Ice Lances for late game, so don't keep them in your starting hand, an Arcane Explosion is good especially if your opponent is one of the Aggro classes (Hunter, Warrior, Warlock, And less commonly, Pali and Mage). Try and keep Mana Addicts, Sorcerer's Apprentice, and Mana Wyrm, as they allow you to quickly build up damage and Tempo.
As for how to play, Early game, go for high damage to the face (optimally without using Fireball, Frost Bolt and Ice Lance). And Late game, keep control with your AoE spells, and slowly widdle them down to a point where you can kill them using a combo, or of course you could do whatever you want :P

The arcane intellects ( Either one or both ) can be swapped for Molten Giants, the Molten works quite well, since you'll usually go down to 15 before you start your extreme AoE control.
Gadgetzan, And Doomsayer would also work well, and I've been thinkin about a Polymorph or two.

Control:
50% of the time you reach fatigue, that's how good the control is.
Blizzard, Frost Nova, Flame Strike, Arcane Explosion, And in dire situations, Frost Bolt and Ice Lance, They all freeze, or clear, stalling your opponent as you get ready for your combos :)
Combo:
As for the combos, these are the main ones.
Frost Bolt + Frost Bolt + Ice Lance + Ice Lance + Fireball = 20 damage, 10 mana
Frost Bolt + Ice Lance + Fireball = 13 damage, 7 Mana
Frost Bolt + Ice Lance = 7 Damage, 3 Mana

Great deck! Been trying it on casual, won 3/3. I have Added Archmage Antonidas and it provided extra fireballs. Had a problem though, each match I was out of cards to draw and seemed to have won on pure luck. Maybe I should add more powerful minions?
PS. Opps. I overlooked "50% of the time you reach fatigue". But isn't that kind of dangerous?
I meant, 50% of the time, the game goes to that state, the deck has enough firepower, and anti-firepower, to save you that late, if you're having alot of trouble there, in theory one pyroblast should help, but keep in mind the downside that it's the only spell you can play that turn, which means no combos on that turn.
This is an okay deck for playing against players that don't really understand the fundamentals of Hearthstone. For example, if you play a Mana Addict, it's going to get destroyed if you don't have a larger threat, which this deck doesn't contain. I suggest adding in a couple Taunt creatures. Maybe a shieldbearer or two. Other than that, this deck is great!
may I ask what your current rank is in ladder running this deck?
Honestly, I don't use it in ranked, i think this deck is better for lower ranks, but not 10+ ~
so i dont have second addict and blizzes, subbing them for 2 kobolds and 1 counterspel(have only one)
its not bad at all
also i change 1 frost nova to cone of cold
IMO cone of cold, is too expensive, and frost nova offers some REALLY nice AoE freeze, this deck has a lot of stuff to buy you more turns.

I'm seriously in love with this deck :D
Currently hovering around rank 14. Not had much Legendaries come my way, but the few times I have it's been 50:50.
I am however running -2 Arcane Explosion and +2 Acolyte of Pain. Why? because I think tempo is very, very important for this deck. Getting the spell combo earlier is crucial, as is getting the control spells. Also, Acolyte acts like bate for many opponents, they like to take him down almost immediately hence saving other minions or your face.
I've noticed that most people ignore the Mana Addict, like this druid here, where it proved very fatal. I think most people don't realise the power of the card when played properly.

I registered just to upvote this deck and comment on how much I enjoy playing it :) Only weakness is that it relies heavily on the combo, and if you don't get the draw you're dead meat. Still, I don't really care cos it's so much damn fun playing it!

I'm finding I'm barely winning any matches with this build personally, admittedly it's not complete but not to the point where I should be losing so many matches, it's all well & good to freeze everything a bunch of times but waiting for a killer combo just doesn't work so well. I'll keep tweaking it & see what I can come up with that works.
May i ask what rank you are, as I've found this deck only works 25-10~ It's a low tier stomper, and what cards are you missing? because some are crucial.
19/20 - I just can't seem to break the next barrier at the moment. Yeh to be perfectly honest I probably am missing some very key cards, namely Mana Wyrm x 2 / Mana Addict x 1 / Azure Drake x 1 / Gadgetzan Auctioneer x 2
Mana Wyrm and addict are musts, you basically just named the 4 most crucial cards.
Ok so now that I've added the two Mana Wyrms I must say - HOLY SHIT! I'm just rolling now! haha thanks heaps! :D

Nice deck. It's very flexible. I've beaten people in 5 turns with Mana Addict/Mana Wyrm abuse.

The point of this deck is spell spam, Mana Addict is a huge damage dealer, though normally it is complete shit, Wild pyro, sure I can see one, Poly, ya trying to find a spot, Mirror Image Cycles great with gadgetzan, and activates mana addict and wyrm.
