Dragon Paladin actually works!

It has taken me a while to make this deck work but I'm really happy to have a dragon paladin that is good in competitive play. With the additional dragons form TGT this can really be a top-tier deck.

dragon paladin

Gameplan

The main way you win with this deck is by surviving your opponent's early aggression  with board clears like Consecration and healing like Tuskarr Jouster, and then out valuing your opponent with your higher quality cards late game.

Why no Chillmaw?

This is a very minion based deck so Chillmaw more often than not is a liability than good, it usually damages your board more than theirs and makes your hero power useless. The times where Chillmaw is really good you are probably going to lose the game anyway.

Why Volcanic Drake?

Volcanic Drake is quite likely to get great value in this  deck because of the amount of board wipe in the deck, Equality plus Consecrate and Equality plus Wild Pyromancer are really good board clears, and then this allows you to play a tempo Volcanic Drake afterwards to take control of the game.

However you are not likely to make two big clears In one game so that is why there is only one Volcanic Drake in the deck.

Mulligan

Warrior:

Zombie Chow, Wild Pyromancer, Blackwing Technician, Twilight Guardian. If you have a Consecration or a Wild Pyromancer in your starting hand then it is ok to keep Equality to make sure you don't get run over by an early Grim Patron.

 Shaman:

Zombie Chow, Wild Pyromancer, Blackwing Technician, Concecration, Twilight Guardian. The aim of the game against shaman is to not get over run, as soon as a shaman loses board control they lose the game so if you can stop the early board pressure you should win the game.

 Rogue:

Zombie Chow, Wild Pyromancer, Blackwing Technician,  Twilight Guardian. Your early-game in this matchup is usually dealt with by the rogues removal, and then you can continue to out value the rogue with your mid-game like your Blackwing Corruptor and win the game.

 Paladin:

Zombie Chow, Wild Pyromancer, Blackwing Technician, Concecration, Seal of Light. Recent Paladins tend to be more aggressive and you can expect cards such as Knife Juggler and Muster for Battle so it is important to deal with these minions before you take too much damage.

 Hunter:

Zombie Chow, Wild Pyromancer, Concecration, Twilight Guardian. This is a game that you should win as long as you can not die in the first few turns so early board presence is vital.

 Druid:

Zombie Chow, Wild Pyromancer, Blackwing Technician,  Truesilver Champion. Early-game the only thing you can really do is try and stop some of there ramp cards like Darnassus Aspirant, if you cant do this the game might get out of control.

 Warlock:

Zombie Chow, Wild Pyromancer, Blackwing TechnicianAldor Peacekeeper. The Aldor Peacekeeper is a good card to keep against Warlock in general because it is insurance against Handlock and it is pretty good at stopping early damage form things like Flame Imp.

 Mage:

Zombie Chow, Wild Pyromancer, Truesilver Champion, Twilight Guardian. It is important to not get overwhelmed at the start by tempo/ mech mage so you must try your best to deal with there early threats like Mana Wyrm before they get out of hand

 Priest:

Zombie Chow, Wild Pyromancer, Blackwing Technician,  Twilight Guardian. The mulligan against priest is not as important because the game Is not really won or lost on your starting hand, so by playing on a decent curve or by getting a big board clear later on you can win this game.
