MidRanged Secret Pally
Hey its me PurpleLum and I'm back with my secret paladin for season 19. I just finished refining the deck list for this season and it seems to be consistent. My win/loss ratio is about 60-70% wins. So if you want something consistent to climb with I suggest this deck to you !

Basic Mulligan Guide
Look for a minibot, creeper, avenge, muster, juggler
Avenge: Always keep
Competitive spirit: Dont keep unless something crazy. like turn 1 comp spirit then turn 2 muster
Noble Sacrifice: Keep only if face hunter or mech mage. Basically keep if aggro deck otherwise no.
Knife Juggler: Keep
Shielded MiniBot: ALWAYS KEEP
Muster for battle: keep with coin or a good two drop
Aldor PeaceKeeper: NEVER KEEP
True Silver: Keep with coin and a good curve like 1, 2 and 3 drop
Consecration: Keep if you have coin and aggro deck otherwise no.
Shredder: Keep depending on curve and coin
Loatheb: NEVER KEEP
Sludge Belcher: NEVER KEEP
Mysterious Challenger: NEVER KEEP
DR. Boom: NEVER KEEP
Lay on Hands: NEVER KEEP
Tirion: NEVER KEEP
Blessing of Kings: keep depending on curve
Haunted Creeper: Keep
Cog Hammer: Keep depending on curve
Match Ups
Generally anything that is aggro/tempo/midrange you should have the upper hand on with a decent mulligan.
Match ups in your favour are: Face Hunter, MidRanged Hunter, TempoMage, Mech Mage, Mech Shaman, Grim Patron, other palladins
Replacements
Dr. Boom = Ragnaros
Mysterious Challenger = Sylvanas or Sky golem
Tirion = Ragnaros
I'm lacking Tirion,Lay on hands,Mysterious and quartermaster.I got 1600 dust but should i craft Tirion or the epics first?
Only card I don't have is Lay on Hands, is there an acceptable substitute or is the deck substantially worse without it?
I don't think the deck is worse without it. After a few games i personally found Lay on Hands being stuck in hand so i swapped it out. I have always been in need of draw over health so i went with another Divine Favor.
This might just be my playstyle but i went from 11 to 5 in 3 hours. Losing hard only to handlock.
How could I fit in trueheart and/or gormok? :)
I subbed in Gormok for one of the shredders. Not as reliable but it's fairly easy to have 4 minions on board and the 4 targetable damage can be a huge swing.
having a blast with this deck. First time I've been able to get past rank 10, sitting at rank 7 damn buntrrs haha.
I played against a couple of these last night and, really it's just more annoying than effective. Of course I had Eboladin so I can just poke away at the secrets. It's not like they're all that "secret" when you have ALL of them active at once.
After Piloted Shredder died, it gave me Darnassus Aspirant. Then I had 2 mana lower than the opponent. Has anyone experienced this bad luck?
I have more than 1250 wins with pally. And i have to say that this deck roc, now on a 9 wins streak to rank 4. Hopefully i have enough time for legend.thanks for sharing!
That deck is the new cancer on ladder.
With TGT they want more controle deck but I only see shaman totem, hunter or that crap on ladder
Hey blood, i have been using this deck for the last 20 games and altough redemption would be nice losing the ironbeak for it could cost you. Ironbeaking a Sludge Belcher or best a mirror Tirion Fordring is too much value.
Add to that the chance of a Mad Scientist pulling your Redemption and you could end up with it bringing back a silver hand recruit.
I think a redemption could work, but possibly not at the cost of ironbeak.
Thinking about it you might be best taking out a scientist in place of a redemption, then you have more control of the redemption and still maintain a silence.
Awesome deck man, hovering around 5 and am looking for a modification to help me progress...
1) Would you sub out to make room for redemption and/or another competitive spirit? I see a lot of secret pallys rocking the redemption, but I'm still on the fence due to the randomness of the draws from the challenger/scientists
2) Also, are two scientists really necessary w/ the challenger? It seems every time I play the challenger I only get 1-2 (rarely 3) secrets from it (or does that defeat the purpose of the early game?)
3) If you were to swap one of the cards from your deck out, which one would it be (kind of plays to the above two questions)

I was playing your prior build, and it felt awkward to me. However, I am absolutely not the most seasoned of Paladin players...I will try out this list and see if it fixes some of the awkward curving I was running in to.

I don't think Mad Scientist belongs in this deck. The idea is to cycle through your secrets with Mysterious Challenger. Playing Mad Scientist will diminish the Mysterious Challenger value and oversaturate the two mana slot.
I might agree on the scientist, but I think that feeling is when you dont get them in the mulligan or first 3 turns. I've been thinking that a Nexus-Champion Saraad or aJusticar Trueheart would be a good sub for 1Mad Scientist. Or at least maybe another secret for Mysterious Challenger may work.
I did change out Quartermaster and put in a Sword of Justice and it has been a great boost because it doesn't discriminate on what gets the buff, albeit it's not as much. Running 7-2 with it so far so I dont want to play with success too much.

Such a good deck:) And turns out a turn 3 divine favour is really, really powerful.
The only thing you don't wanna see is the competitive spirit come to board (from mad scientist) being activated when you've got only one minion left.....
I'm currently experimenting with swapping Sludge belcher with Justicar Trueheart, SB is still a good card but without redemption in this deck, I think having a better mid/late game hero power could just turns out to be much better
Couple games in at rank 8, and I am not getting much use out of Lay on Hands. I don't need the health and I can get enough card draw from Divine; what would be your suggestion for a more aggro-y card?
