Buttwing's main idea is keep playing minions and totems until you have your side of the board filled and an opening for attack. Then, bloodlust and do massive damage in one turn. Often, this kills the opponent, but sometimes you need to follow it up with some chipping to finish the job.

The alternate approach is relying on windfury, the rockbiter weapon, doomhammer, and the big dudes to do the massive damage with one or two guys instead of a whole board of them. Anecdotally, this strategy is what you do if you don't draw bloodlust, or if you're facing someone passive, like a turtle Mage.
