Hey this is JesusAtWork from the EU-Server.
I recently hit legend, playing a whole lot of this Combo-Shaman-deck to climb at higher ranks.
This might seem like a fun deck to mess around with but believe me that it's potential is limitless.
As you might be able to tell from the decklist, the goal of this deck ist to stall out the earlygame by clearing the board with the cheap shaman removal and make MAGIC happen in the lategame. Even if you fall behind early, Baron Rivendare with some good combos can turn the board back in your favor in no time.
The amount of value that you can get out of Reincarnate is mind-blowing.
2 11-11 Thaddii for 2 mana? sounds good to me.
or a 2 mana double-mindcontrol by reincarnaiting Sylvanas? pretty damn nice.
You will figure this out when playing, just mulligan for what will keep you safe and clean in the early and blow your opponent away lategame.
Try switching out cards according to the meta. A second Zombie chow or more cheap removal like the second Earthshock or a Forked Lighting can help that! Maybe also fin a Harriosn in there if you face to many Warriors or Paladins!
They will never expect this, cause nobody play these combos on ladder and that's why it is so effective. Give it a try and get your legend!
Changes some stuff to surivive long enough to make your combos happen!
Legend proof:
On another note:
It seems like this deck has gotten either amazing or kind of bad feedback so far, so I just want to clear some things up
This is a combodeck so it will not be as consistant as many other decks, but when it works, it works superwell. That's just the nature of combodecks.
Also feel free to make CHANGES. The given Decklist is strong against slower controldecks.
If you only face aggro you might wanna get more taunts or healing. This should be obvious.
Have fun ;)
Sorry, what?
Really loving this deck, went from rank 14-9 in just one day with it. Took out the rockbiters seeing as there wasn't much synergy with it, added another chow and sludge belcher to combat the aggro. I don't really understand why everyone seems to value piloted sky golem so much though, seems to me that cairne is almost strictly better. I would also recommend playing double earth shock, one of the most useful class cards in shaman which is good vs both aggro and control.
Also just crafted Sneeds for this deck, never used it before but I got Malorne off it four times in one day. Think the random generator is broken...
FtP player here, and I decided to make the deck with a few replacements with cards I already owned.
I saw in the comments that draws and healing were 2 things really lacking, so here's my swaps.
+1 Feral Spirit +1 Sludge Belcher +1 Antique Healbot +2 Far Sight
-1 Defender of Argus -1 Piloted Sky Golem -1 Sylvanas Windrunner -1 Dr. Boom -1 Sneed's Old Shredder
This is in no way meant to get very high in the ranks, let alone Legend. But to those who complain about how this deck fairs in low ranks, this seems pretty darn good to me. Went from Rank 22 to 15 with very little resistance. You just have to play control till the mid-game, and choose the hits you take.
Once getting past the low-tier, I'm sure the dropped legendaries will be more of a requirement. But for now, this handles pretty consistently.
This is a very fun deck to play, consistent enough to at least average an over 50% win rate. I've made 2 changes to increase the fun factor - 1x Fire Elemental - 1x Piloted Sky Golem + 2x Faceless Manipulator
Rank 20-15 deck. -_- Meh
dude, what the fuck is this! LOL
I've never made it to legend, but I spent half of last month at rank 5, at least, so I think I know how to play... I say this because despite this deck appearing extremely clever, it's been roughly impossible to win with it at rank 18. I slid all the way back to 20 because nothing in the high teens allows for my board to fill with clever plays.
Every deck I've played so far has ended the game by turn 8 or so. This MIGHT work against other slow playing control decks, which might make up the top 5 ranks, but I'm getting steamrolled in the low ranks.
I'm sure this is just a fun/gimmick deck. If you are serious about ranking, I suggest trying out the mech shaman
firebat has to be trolling with that deck, if you don't get lightning storm early you're fucked
Yeah I made a bunch of tweaks and ended up with 2 healbots and a bloodmage, but it still needs more taunt I feel, what would you take out for the 6 cards you mentioned?
I removed the egg and put in a Annoy-o-Tron and it works great. And I've taken out a Rock Biter, since we don't use it as a finisher, and took in a Earth shock, for extra silence.
I'm also considering removing a feral spirit, for Arcane Nullifier X-21 because its hard to remove and it does not give overload.
Nice deck, easy climb from rank 10 to 1
Did someone say infinite Thaddius?
haha, nice one
Really fun deck to play, made a few minor tweaks. This was best moment so far, only through 5 games (5-0)
First game of the new season.
He had 30 hp, I hit my stalaag into a misdirect on to my thaddius. Enjoy 4x thaddius instant concede
edit 1: I love you, this deck is so much fun.. 4x sneeds LOL..
edit 2: pop out 1x lightning storm for feral spirit, and fire ele for the earth ele
There are definitely much better decks for climbing the ladder, but it's so so much fun haha! Also I would definitely recommend having two belchers and for SURE two earth shocks.
I've been testing this deck in lower brackets under 15, and i have to say its really crap, 15-20% win rate i wouldnt recomend this deck to NO ONE, atleast not at those ranks , i will test from rank 5 in weekend when i get back up, but i seriosly doubt this deck does anything....
I played a few games with this deck, I changed 1 piloted for a sludge belcher (don't have 2 piloteds anyway) I had some success and some not so much. There are a lot of ways to deal with early game in rockbiter, lightning bolt, crackle, hell you can even hex a mech warper or something. The biggest issue I found was getting into late game and setting up awesome combos and having massive board control, but I just get fireballed twice, soo I think it needs at least 1 healbot and maybe an earthen. a touch more card draw and taunt would probably be nice too. I want to get the ratio right cause this deck is fun as hell!
