This deck took me to legend with 64% win rate, Would have been alot higher but got 1 shot by paladin chargers on final boss multiple times.. Pretty good against everything.
Deck is pretty straightforward control deck. Rat the paladin's chargers. Rat things into AoE. Rat things and steal them with MC Tech. :D
When playing against Warlock save Helya for the end when they play Wheel of Doom. You will usually slaughter them if you do this, especially if you managed to randomly generate a Staff of the Primus.
Hard mulligan for Threads of Despair against hunter. If you have it you will probably win. If you don't you will probably lose.
Always look for Mining casualties and Gold Panner. Against paladin you might even keep a corpse explosion. Against a hunter explosion is good as well but usually slow. Thread is better. Thread + Crop Rotation is a nifty combo to clear boards against paladin that might be huge.
Should work great after the patch. We need to see what decks come about, if any. Use the MC Tech and Viper slot to add tech cards or fun cards as you see fit.
Finally a deck with Headless horseman and mind control tech. One grip with death knight the handbuff stuff specifies undead that makes handbuff weaker. And the deathrattle synergy is gone.
Yeah I noticed the Undead specific tag too and it was part of why I went away from handbuff.
If only N'zoth was a thing we could have an old school N'zoth control deck in standard that would be great against paladin with infina taunts. With Sylvanus in I have a feeling we will probably get another N'zoth like effect but maybe just DK specific. Its funny how she feels almost unplayable though six mana in modern hearthstone is alot you better be killing something or you probably die on the following turn lol. A DK undead N'zoth deck might actually be pretty good in wild. Tons of taunts. Disruption is so crucial though I dont know if Deathlord is enough.
I tried my own handbuff and I got to rank 1 but kept losing in streaks because I was depending on handbuffed minions instead of removal like corpse explosion. Paladin/Shaman Finley, Reno, and other cards will just instakill you if you rely on board. Pushed back to rank 5 I made this deck and it worked. The 2 blood runes make you sacrifice a lot but it turns out it was worth it. The MC tech slots are perfect for experimentation as that card is really only good against Paladin and sometimes DK and hunter. You should let your imagination run hog wild and try cards. This deck originally had Zola and Ignis in it lol. It became alot more practical over time. The MC tech is sweet but can feel super bad against warriors and other decks that don't fight for board much.
Thank you! Appreciate the kind words. That match up is pretty tricky. Try to rat them on their set up turn to remove any spell damage. Play Headless Horseman + Maw and Paw to maximize HP. Generate additional Maw and Paws. Try to get lifesteal weapon to stay full and prevent any chip damage. If you get Helya you can maybe generate a Primus staff and get plenty of plagues in the deck, hoping they hit a Frost Plague. I have had them kill me even without spell damage from full. Its a rough one. My win rate is 50/50. Its more based on if they draw insanely well. Ratting their card draw minions can slow them enough if youre lucky. You can also try to pressure them and get them to spend burn. Last suggestion I have is tech in Cult Neophyte and take out maybe 1 or both MC Techs. If you play even one cult neophyte after their setup you should prevent the lethal. Zola is another card you can consider to duplicate your rats or neophyte but it tends to be too slow against most classes. I have had it come in very handy when trying to get rid of Odyn or Brann (copying Rat and ratting 2-3 times on one turn) from warrior but I ultimately removed it.
Those are great tips. Thank you so much!
Great Deck! Enjoying it a lot! Any tips on how to play against otk bust shaman?
