For now Im using this decklist for climbing. -1 ghoul because there is less hunter
Short write up:
The deck is heavily reliant on tempo swings. The secrets, cheap removal spells and cards enable high value trades/plays.
Secrets: The mirror entity is obviously an insane card in term of tempo swings, it allows you to attack with a creature your opponent just played. It can also give great utility against certain decks/plays. If you drop it on turn 3 against a handlock it prevents him from playing a giant on turn 4. Same goes for the 100% Dr. Boom on turn 7. Duplicate is in there for mainly two reasons. 1. you dont need to add specific card draw mechanics, as this card will refill your hand. 2. Most of the minions in this deck are high value minions which are great to copy.
I would recommend to play only 2 types of secrets for consistency with your mad scientist.
Unstable portal vs. Mad scientist: Play the scientist on turn 2 when you have the choice. It will always give guaranteed tempo when not silenced. The portal is way more random. Also playing the scientist on turn 3 is more mana ineffcient. The portal can possibly give you a 4 drop on turn 3.
Mulligan:
I will not discuss all the possible opposing decks as the mulligan can be divided in roughly two strategies.
Aggro/paladin/mech mage: Mulligan for mana wyrm, cheap removal, mad scientist and ghoul. Unstable portal is a slow card and is not very good against hunter/zoo lock. Even if you get a good high drop minion it will cost you at least 2 turns to play it, which you dont have against this type of decks.
Control: Mana wyrm is always a keeper just like mad scientist. In this case the unstable portal is very good as you will have the time to play it.
If you would like specific advice for a certain match up just ask.
Cheers,

I really like this deck; I've taken it from 11 to 6, but just lost 5 in a row. (Hopefully it's just a fluke) Still, really fun; I got a Toshley from a pack and wanted a good deck for it and this is the one. Just saw the changes you made and I'm interested to try them. I agree that the Explosive Sheep and the Acidic Swamp Ooze were very situational and not very consistent, but I've come to really like the Bomb Lobber. What are the biggest advantages you see from the recent changes?
Great deck, got me to rank 11 from 15 so far and still climbing steadily.
Only changes I made we're for cards I do not yet have;
-Toshley +Sunwalker
-Dr. Boom +Sylvanas Windrunner
Just pulled a Lord Jaraxxus with unstable portal the other day. Many lols where had.
I Switched de Kirin Tor Mage's for Recombobulator's for some extra rng fun and I must say its one of the most fun decks ever played. Unstable Portal in to Cabal Shadow Priest , Steal turn 3 minion, Trade Trade , Recomb in to Sylvanas, Laugh. ^^
Yes its probably a more efficient set up but the fun factor of recombobulator is a plus :p You lose some tempo but if it recombobulates something sick I laugh :P And also I can trade lets say with my Big minions and than recomb in to a full health minion. :) Im playing like this and I do have alot of fun with it.
Great deck btw , Did not see you made it :P Eindbaas idd!
I like the deck! It is lots of fun. Are you working on a full write up still?
I removed a Kirin Tor Mage and a Bomb Lobber and added a Sludge Belcher and a Blizzard to help deal with the aggro.
This deck can be incredibly effective. Just for fun, I'm trying out a Kezan Mystic in place of one Water Elemental because of the prevalence of hunters. Going to see how often I can get it to proc--underrated card, and no one will see it coming!
Well, in about 10 games I only got it to proc once, against a hunter with Explosive Trap. It felt great, but he already had lethal :/ Time to put Water Ele back in..
Yeah, it didn't really work out, oh well!
Update soon?
The lack of a Flamestrike is becoming a liability, especially in the face of aggro and the rising "Muster for Battle" Paladin decks.
And this deck doesn't have enough answers against Ramp Druid and Handlock, especially since we took out the Polymorphs.
Deck loses to just about everything in the meta right now. Consistently.
Hope to see more of it out there.
First game I played with this I ripped an Antonidas out of unstable portal :D
This deck is featured on my Weekly Meta Report! you can check it out here:

Did you make the entire ladder climb with this deck, or start from a lower rank? Looks like a lot of fun!
hi, i really enjoyed your deck, but i feel like it is good in legend rank, but not really for climbing, due to too much aggro decks.
no taunts, no life gain, no AOE board clear (tried Explosive Sheep switch with Bloodmage Thalnos, but aggro can replenish board way too quickly.
What can I replace Toshley with?
toshly is the easiest legend in the game to replace what you talkin about. you'll get plenty of spare parts either way. lots of decks running yeti's and clockworks
Seems ok except it could use more flamestrike.
