GAME PLAN

The goal of the deck is to put your opponent on a timer with Tickatus to mill their combos and bring them into fatigue quicker, and C'Thun, the Shattered to finish them off.

The ideal end state to enable the win condition is to have used all pieces of C'Thun, the Shattered and completed the quest. At that point, slam down Lorekeeper Polkelt and tap into a zero mana C'Thun (as long as Y'Shaarj, the Defiler isn't blocking you). If the opponent's board state equal a total health of 30 or less, then the opponent is dead.

Another way to enable the win state is to have one remaining piece of C'Thun, the Shattered in hand, opponent's board state that equal 30 health or less after using the piece of C'Thun, quest completed and an empty deck. When this state arrives, simply use the C'Thun piece, tap, and slam down C'Thun, the Shattered. Congrats, you won.

Using one or two Tickatus may also hand you a victory against control or combo decks. As such, consider it a secondary win condition. Take care to seek out and retain a card to corrupt him. In most cases, this will be Soulciologist Malicia or Enhanced Dreadlord unless you get him to zero mana with the quest. A third way is to put down Kanrethad Ebonlocke to discount him and play Khartut Defender on 8 mana.

Until assembling your win condition, take every opportunity to tap. Use Plot Twist in opportune moments to fetch pieces of C'Thun, the Shattered or Tickatus, complete the quest, or heal up with Soul Fragments and Aranasi Broodmother. Have fun.

VERSUS AGGRO

When matching up against an aggressive deck, the ordinary win condition doesn't often come into play. Thus, ignore assembling C'Thun, the Shattered and corrupting Tickatus. Hard mulligan for removal. The quest is a reasonable keep depending on how fast the aggro deck is. The stream of zero mana cards is usually enough to kill any aggro deck if you manage to get there.

VERSUS CONTROL

Tap, tap, tap. Refer to the section on Game Plan. That's pretty much it.

The real danger is against Control/Mill Warlock, since they can screw up your C'Thun combo with Tickatus. Aggressively get C'Thun pieces into your hand. Be wary when they use a 7+ cost card, since Tickatus is likely to come the turn after. If they miss your combo, they merely speed up your win condition if the quest is completed. Try to mill them before they mill you, to snipe their Tickatus and Y'Shaarj, the Defiler.

Control Warrior can also be a bit tricky if they manage to stack up a lot of armor. Try to get some face damage in to strip it away. Consider putting in Alexstrasza or Platebreaker if armor is a problem.

Clown Druid may as well be a problem as they can have 4 full clown boards. The only way to get around this is milling their Carnival Clowns, Y'Shaarj, the Defiler or both copies of Survival of the Fittest. Prioritize playing corrupted Tickatus as soon as possible and consider adding Twisting Nether if the meta is full of them.
