The B.B. Mountain Giant Paladin deck is an interesting build. It uses its plethora of taunts as well as life gains to sustain and out last most opponents. The giants the deck has can provide some real threats that will enforce their will on your opponent. Check out Darkwonyx coaching the deck on the latest episode of Deck Talk.
Don't like this version at all, i have around 400 ish games with my own giants paladin deck with around 62% win ratio, it does have problems with zoo and sometimes hunters if you can't draw right..
But this deck seems not very viable since you consume cards and have almost no draw hence making the mountain giants a liability more than its worth.
Should have thought more about the deck before posting it instead of just posting the first idea in your head.
Pro tip. Posting "I have l33t deck" but not having posted that deck to Hearthpwn is lame.
The deck was viable without Sludge Belchers in the early stages of open beta. If you don't like the mountain giants that much, just use only one and add another win condition or late game card to the mix. Ragnaros works well and a BGH can also help with big cards.
This deck is pretty fun, you just have to walk the line and allow your opponent to over commit to aggression. Plenty of wins I got I was at 10 or less health, and Free Molten(s) -> Lay on Hands is a satisfying play. I've had many people just go for face when I was 15 or less, and after the giants drop, it's easy to GoK then play an Earthen or Holy Light to get right back into the game in a big way.
It sucks versus Handlock and Priest, but steps on Hunter pretty good. I also have played Paladin pretty exclusively every season, and I'm always on the look out for good Pal decks. It goes in cycles, but it's pretty much just different flavors of Giant, Worst Aggro Deck In The Game, All The Legends, with Panda Pal as an outlier.
I think you should change the deck name so as not to offend those with broken backs.
Not sure about the synergy with molten giants and all the taunts/heals.
This deck is for paladin not warlock ....
Just beat Jarraxas in late game. This deck is quite hard to play but I can see its potential.
============================================
After a few more games on ladder, it got pretty grim against certain classes. I guess this deck can only be good in tournament as counter.
I'm curious if this deck has enough card problems to warrant a second Lay on Hands as opposed to another GoK. I haven't tried the deck but I'm wondering if the hand needs refilling that often.
I would almost consider grabbing a Blessing of Wisdom or Divine Favor for draw instead of a second LoH.
Divine Favor might be a dead card in this build where you generally have more cards than your opponent.
Almost definitely. I would probably opt for the Divine Favor and use it on an enemy minion against hunter/zoolock.
