This is the best variation of Savjz's deck.
The OTK results from: Reckless Experimenter -> Coffin Crasher -> 2x Abominations -> End of Turn (with Mecha'thun in the hand).
Zola is typically used with Amara. Hemet will remove everything from your deck except the combo pieces and the Psychic Screams. The Screams are actually amazing in this deck.
Don't forget that your deck must be empty when you end the OTK turn and your hand must be holding only Mecha'thun. If you have anything on the board, it will typically get cleared with the 10 damage AoE from the Abominations (but leave space on the board for the 4 minions plus Mecha'thun).
Best of luck!
EDIT #1: Shadow Visions is great to get you extra Twilights and Screams. If you're finding that Zola is not really useful most of the time, replace it for 1x Visions. Will update soon!
EDIT #2: Swapped Zola for 1x Shadow Visions. You can also consider a 2nd Visions by dropping one of the Power Word: Shields. I've been using that lately and it's been working fine.
EDIT #3:
Currently, there are two specific counters to this deck: certain Mages with Explosive Runes (which kills Reckless Experimenter during the OTK turn) and certain Control Warlocks with Demonic Project. Instead of using Penguins and stuff, you can counter their counters using the original deck in the following way:
1) Against such Mages, keep a deathrattle minion in your hand together with the combo. If you suspect the opponent has Explosive Runes up, play the deathrattle minion the turn before the OTK turn to trigger the secret. If ER is not up (typically, the opponent only plays ER when they see you holding 5 cards and not 6), the deathrattle minion can be played during the OTK turn because Reckless Experimenter will reduce its cost to zero.
2) Against such Warlocks, you can afford to keep 2 or 3 deathrattle minions in your hand together with the combo. This will significantly reduce the chances that DP hits one of your combo pieces (and the opponent typically only plays DP when they see you holding about 5 cards and not 8 because they want to guarantee that they hit a combo piece). You can then play up to 3 deathrattle minions during the OTK turn because Reckless Experimenter will reduce their costs to zero.
And that's it! Good luck with your games and let me know if you find further improvements to the deck.
It does not work anymore, the 10 dmg triggers before the tentacle monster with a robot fetish gets pulled into the battlefield.
IT STILL WORKS FINE!! Just tested.
Some times when i pull off the cards, my Mecha'thun does not die. Why?
Whaha My luck at my first game. The OTK combo triggered Awaken the Makers, so the combo resolved and i got stuck withAmara, Warden of Hope
Happened to me too the first time xD
So much fun! Thank you.
First, i was quite sceptical about this. I had to use OTK priest to get through ranks 10-5. After that i’ve started to play Mech’thun only. First 10 games were tough. But then 15-3 to rank 3 (4 stars). Amazing!
Hardest match is Zoo. Almost auto win odd warrior (or fatigue). I’ve met some towaggle druids so far, but luckily i had combo in hand.
What i really like is little combo Hemet + coin + Amara. After that it is usually scream - scream and win. Only once from 30+ games i was able to win without activating a quest. Lucky hand i guess.
69-47 59%,was working on golden priest so these games are rank 16-20 on ladder, I auto win vs. Warrior, Druid is easy win, win most Hunter matches if non aggro, have beat Odd rogue, and Zoo sometimes. Big spell mage is a win. Obviously mostly unfavored vs. Warlocks, and more aggressive mages, aggressive Shamans. The thing is learning how to win the unfavored matches, which takes skill, so it isn't an easy deck by any means.
I just got hit with this combo. Came to say I'm impressed +1
EZ Rank 4!
ua o frà è nu bucchin e deck! 15 to 8 EASY
RNG is a fucking lie.
every time i get a card milled off it just happens to be a combo card.
every fucking time...
I just got pwned with this deck in Brawlesieum I had 11 wins 1 loss and thought I was gonna had an easy win against a priest for my 12 win run. this guy annihilated me with this deck. As soon as I saw Hemet I knew I was fk***d. GG, nice consistent deck.
Ok I found a way to play around Demonic Project for Warlock and Explosives Runes if mage wants to kill
Reckless Experimenter. You just add to your deck +2 Snowflipper Penguin in place of Mirage Caller and -1
Northern Cleric. It gives you chance save your combo cards. Moreover when you don't need these cards (against other classes). Just put them on the board when you Psychic scream to add more messed up cards in opponent's deck. And when you PS the penguins (they are beasts) in the decks of Deathrattle Hunter or Taunt druid its messes up their summoning cards. I managed with a bit of luck to beat a few Warlocks this way...better than 100% chance to loose.
Any remplacement for Hemet, Jungle Hunter? thx
Its one of the most importan cards, because you can get instantly rid of your deck when u have finished the quest.
So... U have to get rid of ur deck without Jungle Hunter.. I would put in more Cards to draw maybe like Gadgetzan Auctioneer and Acolyte of Pain...
thx anyway i craft him so cool this deck
I think this version is better than the cleric/healing draw version of the deck since it gives you an out vs aggro via the quest and some additional tools via the small DR minions and armor gains to hold off aggro for a little bit while you are pulling combo pieces.
I like this version, but I like the healing version better. Reason being, it plays Wild Pyromancers and has tons of activators for it. That card by itself takes care of most early aggro out there. The added card draw lets you get to fatigue, or Hemet much earlier.
Good! Cause I hate Druids to my inner core :)
This deck is superfun to play and it will be interesting to see how it develops. I haven’t tried Tar Creaper in it yet but with all those aggro zoo out there it seams like a good idea. My version right now is a bit different from this atm and I change and experiment all the time. For example I’m not sure clerics and Shields are great in it. But I might be wrong.
One card I use in it is Woodoo Doll, it it’s great to kill whatever even behind Taunts and t give Deathrattle value.
