Deck is ass tier, don't bother
SUCKS AS FUCK <3
I do not run this exact deck, but it is very similar. I have to say for a beginner like me this is a great deck to learn the game because it is fast, meaning you'll play more games against different decks. I went from 20 to 17 and then back to 19 yesterday as I was receiving more taunts .... It's a very fast deck, the game is usually decided around turn 6. Either I win or the opponent has managed to control so usually I will concede.
However as said before Tar Creeper and I will add Stonehill Defender are absolute NIGHTMARE for this deck. I run two owls and they are just not good enough and I'm considering adding a hunter's mark for an owl, or removing 1 owl and maybe Dire Mole and adding 2 hunters marks. In any case, early taunts, and taunts that let you discover taunts are the nightmare of this deck. I hate going against Quest Warriors or Warlocks that use taunts. Also Mages with Mana Wyrm and Mirror Image are a pain in the ass. If I get a bad opening hand/mulligan it's usually a guaranteed loss. I do not have Jenkins, which could help in this situation. But if the opponent has 2-3 taunts on board it's game over.
Funny thing is that unlike many Odd Hunters I have no problems outracing Odd/Even Palas. Also rouges, shamans and some druids and other hunters are very easy. I only lost to one Hunter and he was running Jenkins. I don't have the exact results but I remember only losing one or two to Odd/Even Palas yesterday and that is thanks to Unleash the Hounds. I always mulligan to either Tracking or Hounds against Palas and other Aggros. If I get 2 hounds it's game over by turn 6. This is a superior card going very hard into face against decks that like to flood the board early.
Overall I had fun with the Odd Face Hunter, unfortunately it gets boring pretty quickly because Taunt and control decks are very hard to go against. I will try and make some more changes tonight and see how it goes.
There are ways to defeat Taunt. I run two Deadly Shots and two Giant Wasps. Each can kill almost any Taunter if there are no Divine Shield.
get rid of the the hydras and use 2x blackwald pixie. its 3 cost "battlecry: refresh your hero power". turn 7 is 6 face damage plus whatever is on your board. turn 8 another 6 damage? Ive been ending alot of turn 7's with eaglehorn plus that combo.
That's not a great choice. Blackwald Pixie plus 2x hero power on turn 7 gets you a 3/4 body and 6 face damage. Using Nightblade would get you the same amount of face damage plus a bigger minion. I'm not advocating adding a Nightblade, just pointing out that Blackwald isn't all that great. Blackwald does have the option of being played on turn 3, but it's still underwhelming there.
Clockwork Automaton beats Nightblade and Blackwald Pixie for 7 mana minion plus hero because it does 6, is 4/4, and if not removed effectively does 3 more the next turn. Don't consider Blackwald Pixie if you're not already running 2x Clockwork Automaton.
Face is the place! Disclaimer, video probably contains an overload of misplay...
It's only a misplay if you didn't hit face.
Guess so :)
Does anyone else feel like this deck has too many 1 drops?
the idea with this deck is to do as much damage to face before you start to lose board control which is 1 one drops are necessary.
Yea I get that but you will run out of 1 drops very quickly but yea i guess you have already won by that stage :/
i just hate bittertide in this, ive played about 15-20 games so far and have only used bittertide once effectively especially with shamans running around all running volcano. another thing ive noticed is odd paladin has a bit more late game and can be extremely effective i feel like if these decks had either a bit more card draw some more late game or something and i think this can be a insane broken deck.
hench-clan thug can spiral out of control with this deck
haven't thought about that gonna give it a try thanks for the heads up
This deck is trash tier, don't waste your time.
any replacement for Bittertide Hydra?
Haven't played this deck, but immediately thought to myself that I might replace Bittertide Hydra with Sea Giant.
i beat this with basic hunter in rank 25
he didn't know the place
guess you need 200 IQ to play this deck
