Overview

The main goal is to get +5 Spell Damage from Malygos and then next turn burst the enemy down with a bunch of spells. Gadgetzan Auctioneer and some spells for board control will help getting the combo cards together.

The first 3 turns will usually be slow but after that you can start getting your board set up with Sen'jin ShieldmastaAzure Drake and then Gadgetzan Auctioneer.

Malygos and Gadgetzan Auctioneer need to be protected at all costs using Sen'jin Shieldmasta or Conceal. Also you can slowly start baiting out enemy removal by playing SI:7 Agent, Azure Drake and even Edwin VanCleef first.

Differences to Leeroy Combo Miracle Rogue

Leeroy Jenkins can no longer be heavily relied on without the ability to deal 18 damage for 8 mana in one turn. Thus Shadowstep becomes dramatically less useful and with that Earthen Ring Farseer loses some diversity as well.

It could be argued that SI:7 Agent now also lost some combo potential but it still seems like a good value card early with Backstab or in particular The Coin on turn 2. Without the need to attack the enemy hero directly Sap becomes less integral and can be replaced with some other cards.

How to play each turn

Starting Hand

If you have The Coin try to get an SI:7 Agent. Usually having a BackstabDeadly PoisonBlade Flurry or Fan of Knives for some early board control is recommended depending on the enemy hero.

Don't start with MalygosConceal, Preparation, Headcrack or Sinister Strike, those are your late game combos optimally when you have some additional Spell Damage.

Turn 1

There are usually no plays on turn 1. In some rare situations you might have to waste like a Backstab or Preparation to kill a high value enemy turn 1 minion but 99% of times just end the turn right away.

Turn 2

Usually use Hero Power to either kill or damage a minion or deal damage to the face. The perfect play if you have The Coin is to use the SI:7 Agent to destroy an enemy minion with 2 health and establish early board control. If you can get out an early Edwin VanCleef it might be worth it, but be careful he's way too easily countered with silence and other cards depending on the enemy hero, don't waste too many cards to pump him up.

Turn 3

If you get lucky a good play might be to use Backstab followed by SI:7 Agent to kill one or two enemy minions and establish board control. Board control at this turn will help keeping your Gadgetzan Auctioneer and Azure Drake alive later. Hero Power and Deadly Poison is another common option.

Turn 4

Optimally you can play your Sen'jin Shieldmasta to protect your Gadgetzan Auctioneer or Azure Drake next turn. If you need to you could combo your SI:7 Agent with a Sinister Strike or Deadly Poison.

Turn 5

Depending on how well you control the board and how much removal you expect from the enemy you can play your Gadgetzan Auctioneer right away and pray. Alternatively bait some removal with Azure Drake.

Turn 6

If you haven't played your Gadgetzan Auctioneer yet you can do so now and optimally follow it up with a Conceal.

Turn 7 and Turn 8

Either buy time with board control and spells to draw more cards or go deal as much damage to the enemy as you can depending on the situation and if you have Malygos in your hand yet.

Turn 9

You now have enough mana for Malygos, but most of the time you don't want to play him right away without having a guarantee that he can survive. But if you have Preparation and Conceal or expect the enemy to not have enough damage or particular cards (care, silence!) then it's certainly worth considering playing him now.

Turn 10

Depending on the cards in your hand even if you only played Malygos this turn you might still be able to do a lot of damage in addition if you have any combinations of PreparationSinister Strike and Eviscerate. Otherwise follow up with a Conceal to hopefully end the game on the next turn.

Turn 11

With Malygos out and 10 mana available you should hopefully have enough cards to kill the enemy. For example 2 x Sinister Strike is 16 damage, 2 x Eviscerate is another 18 damage. Blade Flurry, Shiv and Headcrack will also deal lots of damage now.
