Hello all, my name is Muhzzy (Swamp#11753 in-game) and this is my take on the popular Dragon Spiteful Summoner priest deck.

Proof of W/R:

Deck Overview

This is a tempo deck that wants you to play Spiteful Summoner on curve to get that huge tempo swing with a good 8/10 drop minion to control the board. The dragon package helps you gain even more value such as stealing your opponent's cards with [card]Drakonid Operative[/card] or clearing that aggro opponent's board with Duskbreaker

Card Statistics

Mulligans

Always Keep:

Northshire Cleric

Shadow Ascendant

Netherspite Historian

Kabal Talonpriest

Versus Aggro:

Duskbreaker - can save you in so many situations. Looking for another one with your Netherspite Historian is always a plus.

Tar Creeper

Corridor Creeper

Versus Control/Mirror:

Spiteful Summoner

Drakonid Operative

Curious Glimmerroot

My Tech Choices

Spellbreaker - because of all those pesky Voidlord's.. but it also can come in handy for other targets, as well. Just choose your target wisely especially if you know what deck your opponent is playing.

Twilight Acolyte - Maybe not so much of a tech card but can definitely catch your opponent by surprise when you steal that giant Edwin VanCleef's attack. This card is also good against other decks that include Spiteful Summoner; stealing their big minion's attack that they just got can be awfully annoying for them..

Optional Tech:

Eater of Secrets is not a bad card to add to the deck if you're running into a lot of Secret Hunters or Secret Tempo Mage decks. You can either swap out a Twilight Drake or even a Tar Creeper.

Important Facts

Something to keep in mind about Grand Archivist is that he casts the spell FROM your deck. Another interesting thing about Archivist is that if you only have Mind Control left in your deck and your opponent has no minions on the board, he will not cast the Mind Control and it will stay in your deck.

Thank you to Dana, Synch and Kadak for creating deck spotlights of the deck so you can see it in action!
