well warlock lost renolock - and handlock - so discolock (a zoo variant) and traditional zoo are the only archetypes left.
Is the Beast tag just a typo? this is an insect right?
No, she is a silithid. In Hearthstone, they are labelled as Beasts (Silithid Swarmer, Princess Huhuran)
Absolutely disappointed, in the direction HS is going, with this card and Warlock quest and removal of Reno (and past Molten nerf), the game forces us to play Warlock as Discard Warlock, the game feels more limited every time they add more content.
The whole expansions seems like it is designed to fulfill it's class quests card, I hate it.
I can see what you mean. Archetypes within card games always irritates me. They are aesthetically pleasing to be played but they are just too limited. Usually it's just a handful of inter-supporting cards and becomes extremely predictable. For Hearthstone, it's more along the side of tribes rather than keyword but forced archetypes are never healthy for the game in the first place. But are they cool? Heck yeah.
Only reno is phasing out. You can still totally play a singleton deck in standard. I would trust the HS team more that they will add even more singleton type cards to the set. So you are losing a full heal card, tough beans. You are about to get a TON of taunts and other anti agro cards. Buck up buddy, the sky isnt falling.
Also, I'm getting more and more interested in playing Wild. Miss Reno? Play wild!
Imagine having this in hand when you play Deathwing.
It will return to your hand as a 2 mana 4/4.
"Wow, insane".
Wouldn't likely it be more powerful at that point considering warlock could discard it more than once before Deathwing.
Yeah I would say its bit crazy. Requires patience and discard luck but its doable.
Imagine casting Deathwing with the queen in hand with 3 to 5 other cards and a Malz Imp on the board. Disc Deck is about to get really fun.
THE BROTHERHOOD SHALL BE DISCARDED.
*Discarded*
"I'LL BE BAAAAaaacccck...!"
"Mom"
Im looking at this card and i feel like it needs to be changed. It would just be a little bit too strong to be buffing this cardup every turn with discard effects. Therefore i think i know a better solution.
i think that this card should get +3 3 instead and get shuffled back into the deck, sort of like ciri dash in gwent. This way you have an end goal of getting a massive minion wothout it being to overpowered.
any thoughts p?
Terrible idea. From this card we can see each class legendary creature works with the class quest. The point of it is to stick in your hand so you don't keep emptying your hand. And it's a one of, how would you ever get it back in you hand or discard it twice over a game? This is one of the first decent warlock legendaries in a while I leave it be!!
True point. I was basing my idea of ciri dash in gwent where the end goal involves getting your massive ciri dash at the end. I guese it wouldn't work with discolock as it is more of an agro rush deck designed to kill your oponent with your high stats discard cards before you get killed.
This isn't quite the place for this sort of argument but gwent is actually a stratergy game. Its sort of like hearthstone was when kt was created; a fun, stratergy based game where there are different, creative deck lists for every class. No class or faction is forced into playing one deck or archtype. Gwent is a game of bluffing, trying to make your oponent overachieve so that they have less cards than you and you have better odds to win more of the rounds. Meanwhile hearthstone at the moment consists kf drawing a good starting hand and winning, drawing reno and winning, drawing you combo an winning. If you try to play any sort of fun, creative or innovative deck, it gets destroyed by the agro and reno meta. Gwent is alot like hearthstone, just without the meta dominating decks that have been ther through every ecoansion; freeze mage, undertaker hunter, oil rogue, all the way to pirate rogue. Gwent may have meta defining decks in future, but for now its just a fun game to play with friends or online.
also, i didn't come here to say that gwent was better than hearthstone. Its too early to determine that.
i just came to suggest a way to change this card in the hopes that discolock doesn't rule the meta in the year of the mammoth.
While i can understand why you would be a little put off by this card, have you considered a card long forgotten in Hearthstone: Spellbreaker? It practically sends this card in the garbage. And while it might seem a little bad to put in a counter for a single card; There are many cards in un'goro that are rendered from super OP to safe and useless. food for thought
