But now you can ice lance one charakter and freeze the other to freeze the entire enemy board.
Having it trigger afterwards has upsides as well as downsides.
Frost nova and blizzard are probably better if you want to freeze the board. I guess the main advantage to after the spell is that you don't end up wasting the spell on a minion you're about to kill
Yep. I just didn't want to list all the upsides, such as always freezing face when you play blizzard/frost nova.
this is the bad kind of RNG. When tempo mage gets this on board, they're going to prevent you from doing anything for the rest of the game. Fortunately theres still Duplicate and Echo of Medivh in standard mode so EVERY mage won't be tempo mage this time around... oh wait.
Just realized it can freeze the enemy hero too. This card will be better than people think.
Everyone is saying frezze, but in tempo mage I see more potential. If you have cheap spells and mana you can do tremendous work.
Excellent point i had never thought about it this way.
The thing is that you have a lot of Aoe Freeze, being Frost Nova the best example, you dont need another tool to freeze enemy minions. and the combo with Frost Nova and Ice Lance can be countered by just playing some minions, its not reliable for freeze mage
I don't think you understood what King_konig was saying. You don't use Frost Nova for Ice Lance since it doesn't hit face. You also metion that it is blocked by playing minions, but that is why he mentioned the Doomsayer combo. Lastly, you mention that freeze mage doesn't need more things to freeze minions, but konig was saying that the new card could be used to freeze the face to enable Ice Lance. Not sure what you are getting at to be honest.
2/4.
REALLY, BLIZZARD? 2/4 for 4 -- that conditionally freezes..?
Compare to the neutral Frost Elemental. Selected freeze without casting any spells, and neutral.
...and Water Elemental, 3/6 for 4.
SHOULD have been 2/5, at the very least.
People: this is a even more disgusting version of Flamecaller. It's going to be stupidly OP in any mage deck that runs spells, because it can't be attacked.
Flamewaker*. If you want to make a statement atleast get the name right.
Where does it say that it will not freeze an already frozen target? The text just suggests that it will target a random enemy character and that's it. Just a little skeptical of that being true.
Ben brode said so
Oh okay. Just wish that it mentioned it on the text itself because it's a bit confusing.
I think this will be used in some control/giant mages when the expansion hits.
worst card in expansion yet.... Just trash. The random factor and stats/cost just kills it completely.
even servant of yogg-saron is worse than this.
this card is balanced, if you try to compare it to a op card like flamewanker, of course this card feels weak.
It is not as good as flamecaller, sure it's better when it happens to freeze your opponents 8/8, but then its a random effect that you really do not want to be random, and this is incredibly weak when your opponent has a bunch of 1/1s.
