Freeze or Echo Giant Mage?
The Golden Monkey would only be played as a last resort to dump cards like Arcane Intellect/Acolyte of Pain/Ice Block/Ice Barrier from your hand when your competely out of steam and fatigued. Could give you 4~6 (depending on how many of the above cards you used earlier) legends that have the chance of closing out the game.
Granted, I can't imagine a card I'd cut to put this in... and it's probably a weak plan overall. But it's a legit possible use (See: Not Gimmick) for the card.
This would be way better if it only turned your hand to legendaries, and not everything. I don't think any deck could really make use of it. It may be an interesting end game card for aggro decks though. You could turn all those cheap high-tempo minions into bombs if you failed to end the game within the first 10 turns.
Time to give High Justice Grimstone a taste of his own medicine.
Interesting card. By the time you get it all to work you should be on turn 10 and wouldn't think twice about playing a Ragnaros or Deathwing. On the other hand it ruins all the synergy you had by replacing all of your cards.

Does replace mean your current hand and deck or do you get a fresh deck and hand of legendary minions?
As said its not really so good as it might look for some. People have been trying full legendary decks for ages without any sucess so far. It could be usefull for some classes to use at the very late stage of the game to replace cards they have little to zero use for tough.
Full legendary decks don't work because no early game. This is a late play card. Either way I can't wait to try it out.

I would put this in Zoo, if I don't win early with my junk of cheep minions, turn all those flame imps and spiders into legendary cards in late game. (Also warlock hero power, anyone?)

Similar Hype as compared to Mistcaller. Probably a lot worse, practically. Won't stop me from playing it though.
Arena card value
Many people have made all-legendary decks before, they're garbage.
So you're telling me I have to play an average 4 mana for 3/5.
Then find the map it shuffled into my deck several turns later.
Then find the golden monkey it shuffled into my deck several turns after that.
Then play the golden monkey, only to make my hand and deck worse?
Absolutely...these are the kind of garbage cards I find entertaining to play.
But this way you can get double copies of legendary cards, which is fun.
Also problem with legendary deck is that you have very bad early game. This way you can have low cost minions in early game, and if you don't win early late game change all those cheep guys into legendary cards. Which can be good and fun.
An astral communion deck will play like 15-20 legendaries and will destroy you if it hits innervate+astral...
That being said, it includes a 4-6 non-legendary taunts, and it gets destroyed by aggro IF it doesn't hit its opening. But it can still ramp up pretty fast against decks that give you a couple free turns.
furthermore, a deck where you pick the legendaries you want is going to be superior to a bunch of random legendaries. The one good thing about this card that I don't think anybody is mentioning, is that it's a 4-mana 6/6 with taunt!!! Huge value... The battle cry is actually kind of detractor except for maybe to people with small card collections.
Fatigue Druid or Miracle Rougue?
i think it may work in a fatigue warrior
