summon a 8/4 for 9 mana...i as a player from WCIII thought he would have been a tanky guy (just like he was in hots and WCIII) but this crap? poor Illidan Stormrage...
the VERY intresting part is that famous characters get the most TRASH stats EVER! while an unpopular NPC like Dr. Boom has the best stats...
Another good friend for illidan in HS. Such a bad card for a popular WC character. What do we have next, Arthas, Tyrande, Maiev?
so true!
I don't play rogue and still this card make me sad.
At least it seems better than Malorne ;)
Yeah it depends in which context you consider the card. I simply campared the both card without the context of the classes and wanted to express that it could have been worse, if they would have made the card like Malorne
It is the legendary with the most comparable Deathrattle. The 4/4 Nerubian makes it better in my opinion.
Why can't rigues have nice things!!
I am crying in my pillow over the embarresment of this. And every rogue card released.
Mages are full of good cards. Nearly all of them are viable and usefull in some way. While this will hardly see the light of day, due to hex, sheep and silence. The developers know how bad this is, it rely purely on it's deathrattle to get any kind of value. It's hardly better than a shredder, and a one/-trick pony that hardly go off with a houndred counters.
I think the card is better than people are giving it credit for. Yes, it's incredibly slow, but if any class can bide time with efficient cards and stall till the late game it is Rogue. But when it finally does come out, you either have to (1. Ignore it and Face! (2. Hard Remove it with Poly/Hex/ec.. or (3. Kill it, and pray you can out agro the opponent before the 4/4 spider army can eat you alive. With many of the new "If your mana cost is higher...." cards, it's big body in your deck can actually prove to be invaluable. This with Armored Warhorse and Master Jouster will be a cool combo effect. I think at the very least the card is conceptually cool. I hope it sees some play.
I guess Blizzard though Rend Blackhand wasn't costing enough, and had too much of an effect.
I would play Demonfuse over this card, at least it could give you lethal.
In arena it could be picked if you see this besides Tinkmaster Overspark and Bloodmage Thalnos, but ofc nothing like any other 9 spot minion, for example the new North Sea Kraken just destroy this card and leaves a 9/7 to deal with the 4/4. And it's a common card. Blizzard Y U H8 ROGUE ?!
Now that i think of it even Piloted Sky Golem poops on this card, 3 less mana to lose 2 attack, and the possibility to get yeti or pit lord over a 4/4 (which is an average 4 drop).
To see this card take the rogue legendary spot when we saw the epic one being Poisoned Blade,* sigh*
need more middle mana crystal legendaries not late legendaries, c'mon blizz
You forget to mention that a many of the "original" cards you cite in your Reddit post are not that original, as they are cloned from Magic The Gathering as well.
So, when does mimicking other game's cards stop being offensive and start being cool? :)
Have fun!
TBH, I think this card is really strong for Control Rogue. Extremely sticky on board.
This card would be even better if it costs (8) because you could at least dagger-up.
Was hoping it was something with burrow (stealth) or impale (damage/stun?) but they went for the summon nerubian.
Effect is really nice. But ugh! Those stats. Especially the mana cost. I have never tried KT on rogue before..
But then I realize how strong this card is in top deck arena situation.
That's a good thing if it were easy to get in Arena, but as it is a legendary drop, you will hardly ever get it. Stormwind Champion way more effective in arena, and it is from the basic set ;)
...And then the opponent plays two Bomb Lobbers
'Course, that's assuming their side of the board is empty first.
Honestly, this card isn't too bad. four health is a bit of a sweet spot, since you can survive a TON more than a three healther would. Things like Fire Elemental's battlecry, Frostbolt, Lightning Bolt, Eaglehorn Bow, Wrath, Hammer of Wrath, And that's just off the top of my head. The fact that it bounces a 4/4 back into the game is big, since being able to do that kind of damage twice in one turn is pretty tough a lot of the time. This card may very well be two-for-one in trades if not better.
You probably have to run it with a bunch of other 7+ attack minions since Big Game Hunter soft-counters it with his 4-attack body. Can't wait to see this thing in play!
Plz don't mind me while I take a break to take a huge dump on this card.
