Bolvar is the only target which gains bonus attack, not the hero. (Source)
Obtaining Bolvar directly from a player's hand, through a spell like Mind Vision, results in the clone being 1/7 even if the originating Bolvar is buffed. (Source)
Card Text
Whenever a friendly minion dies while this is in your hand, gain +1 Attack.
Flavor Text
Spoiler alert: Bolvar gets melted and then sits on an ice throne and everyone forgets about him.
But when Bolvar is so easy to kill and his value is entirely in the form of a Silence-vulnerable body that depends on being in your hand, is spamming as many sacrificial weenies as possible in the early game to buff his attack really worth it?
But in the best case scenario, you can coin SOJ and use Muster on turn 3. Maybe even Nerubian Egg on turn 2, with Scarlet on turn 4. Or even Nerubian Egg turn 2, Harvest turn 3, trade with Harvest turn 4, Scarlet turn 4.
This will give you a Bolvar around 5/7, or even more - "oh wait, it can be silenced" - Great, one less thing to concearn about when droping Tirion.
Its just not a card that you put in the game reckless or consider as a win condition. Its a strong minion, that's all.
I am too used to MTG, where Twilight Drake mechanic would be possible, but not this card unless each time a friendly minion you count it somewhere (dice/write it down), which is a huge spoiler, that messed me up.
Finally Paladins have a really good use for their Hero Power :3
I think Bolvar will fit in any kind of Paladin deck; aggro, midrange or control! Strong 5-drop!
Hard counter by silence -.-
One Ironbeak Owl for Bolvar Fordragon and another for Tirion Fordring....
...then Paladin stay speechless :)
I hope it will work like you say... otherwise this is not so strong legendary..
Silence is defined as "Remove a card's text and effects.". Without the text, its Attack reverts to 1.
What a... straightforward effect. Can't say it was worth the wait. Really wish the vote chose Mal'Ganis.
Not every card can have a miraculous or weird new effect. Sometimes you just need some good cards with "normal" effects :|
but is that "normal" effect worth the "legendary" standard? :C
Muster for Battle makes A LOT of sense now.

Didn't say that.

Hand mechanics afecting stats? omg :|
we have hand mechanics affecting cost, so nothing new. Great card.
I see your point...
Can i reply to this point and say something obvious. Or about Star Wars.
