So with a not so difficult combo, you now have a board clear that is also Reno Jackson? Seems good.
Whoa, 5 mana Consecration that doesnt go face. POG.
I think this sucks. Compare with Blood Boil or just Chaos Nova
It would have been different if you also got an extra attack to face.
Before synergies, Blood boil is indeed much better but Chaos nova is not one sided and it is important. In anything but strict control, I'll go for 5 mana deal 2\6 mana deal 3 damage to the enemy board before I go for 5 deal 4 to all minions. It also lets you use any attack improving card as an additional AOE
But true potential of this card is using together with "whenever your hero attacks" effects.
If you're not control, is the opponent going to have 3 or more minions on the board making this worth using?
In theory you get some free attack after.. So let's say your oppo has 6 minions then you have 6 free attacks.. 6 x5 = gg
Except weapons have a tendency to break.
True can only deal 6 extra damage with warglaives
I wish Dreadprison Glaive was sticking around. Imagine the style points!
I cant remember what the core card was called but there was a 3 mana version of this, (it only hit 3 random minions and didn't buff your attack before) when DH was released and that was absolutely disgusting, so we'll have to see how a wider 5 mana version of it will be. Although this one doesn't work as well with weapons.
I reckon it will be a very solid, but not as broken as the OG
Warglaives of Azzinoth
Blade Dance
Everyone thought it was OP, it might've even started at 2 mana, and the 3 mana is a nerf. Either way, that card was DH's best removal at the time of DH being 70% of the meta and receiving multiple day one nerfs. They did have a lot more attack gain back then, but that could come back round again.
So... demon hunter's legendary is just... a board clear.
It might feel weak at the moment but it will get interesting if more "after your hero attacks" cards get released. Pufferfist is currently the only semi-interesting one. Of courses Eye of Shadow could get you back to full health.
Edit: Right, we don't know what the Demon Hunter Instrument weapon is yet and Instrument Smasher just got revealed as I am typing this comment but I think it is a "win more" combo if anything.
Glaivetar well it doesn't combo with this so that is a shame.
Yeah but like...Blood Boil could also get you back to full health, without the risk of smashing your face against things and requiring other combo pieces.
Well tbh, with this card, you don't have the 'risk of smashing your face against things' either, since you are immune. But yeah, as a standalone card, Blood Boil is better (it has a stronger prerequisite though).
In any case, Demon Hunter has a tradition of synergies with hero-attacking instances, so who knows if this turns out to be an OTK combo piece at some point.
This gives you immune this turn so smashing into things isn’t a concern.
This feels weak. It's a 5 mana control card that requires some type of synergy to do something.
Worst cases are 5 mana deal 2 to everything + 2 to one more minion\face. Or 6 mana and 3 and 3. And it is an OK control turn even before synergies
