Makes you wonder what's the wincon of the deck, looking similar to questline's
directly to my discard lock in wild.
this card SHOULD be for priest...so we can hate more that class XD
I have to say that I absolutely HATE the fact that there is discard involved with this card, but I gotta say, I agree with the distrupt your opponent mechanic being interesting like other users. So I dont know, I dont really think this card will be taken seriously(never seen that before) but hey im still excited to see what people can do with it.
However. Oh my god Blizzard I swear, you BETTER not add more discard cards. This expansion is looking pretty fun so far, I think its like a Kobolds 2.0 so PLEASE, PLEASE DONT SCREW THIS UP
!!!!DONT ADD DISCARD TO WARLOCK !!!!
I don't think this card works well with discards, even in a dream scenario. Because even if you trigger this and hit 2 cards you want to discard, say Silverware Golem and High Priestess Jeklik you still lose 2 cards while your opponent loses 4... Is it even good enough to run this card in your deck? This is by no means a win condition or even a guarantee of a favorable outcome for you, so why take that risk at all? To MAYBE hit some of your opponent's key cards? Sounds really awful to me...
Yet another "will never see play" Warlock legendary and wasted card slot. There's pretty much only one archetype where such card could work, one where you don't care about any particular card in your deck and emptying your deck means winning, something like The Demon Seed. Without it, it's just a meme.
new fatiguelock coming man! just wait few days
I hope you're right, otherwise it's just wasted potential and another useless legendary for Warlock.
when the legendary performer have Taunt it feels like they have a suck, earshattering performance that taunts the enemies
In wild, this card will most likely see a good amount of play in curse warlock, where discarding your own cards doesn't matter too much, or at least compared to other decks
why would you want your enemy to potentionally discard the curses?
Should be 4 mana. 3/3/6 taunt is vanilla for todays meta and slap a somewhat stronger Altar of Fire on it.
This card rocks
Ima say it now that is early.. This set has lower power level then last sets.
Between this and Pozzik, Audio Engineer, I‘m a fan of how they’re producing disruption this set. Rather than “your opponent doesn’t get to use their card”, (Tickatus, Mutanus the Devourer, Theotar, the Mad Duke, etc,) we get more unique effects for it.
Pozzik presents your opponent with the choice of spending their mana on worse Ironfur Grizzlys, or letting the opponent have their full 4-mana 11/10 worth of value. And Rin discards your opponent’s cards, but doesn’t take away their total amount of card advantage, and you can’t (or more accurately shouldn’t) run this in a combo Warlock deck due to it possibly burning your necessary cards. It’ll be annoying when used against you for sure, but I like it more than a direct deprivation of resources.
Personally I am a bit disappointed since I hate the discard mechanic. And you either want this card for the discard mechanic or to disrupt their hand.
Edit: really nice art though
We'll see. Discard effects never feel good even if your deck is based around them. This is double edged. Disco worked in wild cause warlock has expired merchant for extreme value and that draw 3 card for mass draw. In standard, warlock doesn't have either.
As a reminder the only card rotating for curselock and implock is Wicked Shipment, and blizz are pissheads enough where I'd expect them to put it in the core set.
Ehhhh I'd say the bigger reason Disco is good in Wild is the critical mass of discard and discard synergy. There aren't enough Discard lovers in Standard to justify running a full discard package, while there are lots of cards in Wild which work with this perfectly. It's feasible to run 30 cards which either discard cards, like it when you discard cards, or like being discarded in Wild, while Standard requires lots of filler cards to hit the 30 card deck requirement.
You're also missing Imp Swarm (Rank 1), Dreadlich Tamsin, Shady Bartender, and Tamsin Roame in that assessment of Implock, which are pretty big losses as well, especially with how they impact Implock's ability to close out games.
So is the new warlock deck playing Void Virtuoso and you both fatigue but actually only they fatigue?
I like where this is going.
