Balance Patch on Thursday - Battlegrounds, Standard & Wild Changes Incoming
We've been waiting for a patch since the Return to Naxxramas mini-set launched, and now we have a preview of the changes incoming. The changes and the patch Patch itself will be released on Thursday.
Apart from killing you outright turn 4-5 in Wild, with no minions on board, full board for your oppenent, running two copies of it, and pretty much nothing you can do to counter it, not much other use...
In Mecha'thun decks, yes, it does.
Edit: Nevermind, I didn't notice he was specific about OTK decks. Who doesn't know that Discard Warlock is a thing that remains an issue with constant pressure, and then dumping their hand triggering a huge blast?
No warrior buffs :(
Lol not a single wild secret mage card nor priest card.
Grey Sage Parrot?
Edit: They edited their comment to specify Secret Mage. Prior, they said "wild mage"
Secret mage isn't an oppressive play experience. Get good.
So 2.5 standard nerfs and 3 wild nerfs. It makes you wonder why it took this long? Construct quarter needed adjustment as soon as it was announced and gnoll should have been 11 as soon as blazing transmutation was announced.
Probably +1 mana on quarter and I bet they will make any evolve effects take the played cost into account instead of original cost
i dunno +1 mana to quarter does something...
Construct quarter was so obviously more broken than unnerfed Nightcloak Sanctum and they released it anyways. Are they asleep at the wheel or what.
Construct quarter will be 4, it will still be amazingly good and need a second nerf. The nerf will be gnoll to 11 so gnoll discovers gnoll. Your suggested nerf would require much more reprogramming.
Love to see Neptulon nerf, oh wait...
Yeah gotta nerf the card being used in 0 good decks
I'm betting the nerf to Grey Sage Parrot is made with the health of Wild in mind moreso than Standard, because while Big Spell Mage has been good for most of the year, it's also rotating in a month. If they were going to nerf BSM, they would've done it months ago. From there, I'll bet the nerf is that it'll repeat the last 6-cost spell or more, to prevent it from recasting Time Warp.
An Eggcellently Constructed nerf teaser...
