Wild Summit at Blizzard about Wild Format Balance - Balance Changes Soon?
Blizzard through Dev Matt London has announced that they held a summit to discuss the situation in Wild. Read the details below!
Quote from BlizzardHi All! Recently we've seen a lot of passionate conversation regarding the Hearthstone Wild format. Thank you for that. Today, we kicked off a "Wild Summit," a big internal discussion about the state of the format and how we can bring you the best possible experience.
Quote from BlizzardWild has a lot of moving parts. It's unlikely adjustments will happen this week, but we're committed to building a great plan for Wild and sharing more info once we do. Thanks!
So you want every popular archetype to be fully destroyed ?
Things need to be toned down, not butchered
They need to nerf the popular combo decks as you mentioned then they need to revert Rena back to 40hp, rotate him to wild if necessary. If he stays in standard, can partially revert to 40/45 then. Wild will be so much better without all the nongames from fast combo decks like pillager rogue, quest mage, discardlock, big priest.
I've thought the same thing for a long time. There are absolutely certain combos of cards that simply break wild. But allowing Switcheroo as long as Inner Fire was off the table seems reasonable.
The other option I can see is permanently retiring certain cards. Blizzard has already banned 5 cards, so the precedent is already set. This is, in my mind, less likely because a) Blizzard would have to give us full dust value if it perma-killed these cards; and b) more importantly, it would lead to countless "ban this" demands from the player base.
I just made legend in wild with discard warlock, most matches end at turn 4, is like marvel snap, quick maches and decent fun. Most of wild is extra agro, the important thing is that they will nerf every month, so at least the meta change as it will be impossible to reduce the power of agro there are too many broken card
Congratulation you are part of the toxicity of the wild mode, hope you're stupid deck will get nerfed so we can maybe go to the turn 6
Agree, I hope they delete your account or get nerfed without single dusf refund
lol Ledouaje you're the poster child of the hearthstone community.
blame the people that play broken decks, because that's the only way to have fun in this shit game, instead of the utterly incompetent game developers, that don't have a single clue about what they're doing.
you're quite toxic expecting somebody to ruin his experience (OMEGALUL) by playing cool decks.
it would be better for this game to just vanish because the good days of hearthstone are over 5 years ago and we're just here because we're clinging to old memories.
this game is in the worst state it's ever been. it's bad. it's sad.
I want to do legend on all 3 modes in one month, just playing in the fastest way
A recommendation that i don't see much... Ban pairs of cards instead of cards themselves. Like tome tampering is banned with if malchezzar imp is in deck. Like astral communion with (say) lady anacondra etc
Busted interactions can be removed but the cards can themselves be used...
Could've used some-... better words.
lol what? go play Mario kart and call it balanced when the random item you get stuns every one for 3 Minutes and letting you drive twice as fast.
so Test Subject unbanned yet?
That's an interesting way to summarize 7 years of complaints over the fact that there has nearly always been one aggro deck that wins 70-80% of games (and usually before turn 5 or so) that makes all other decks obsolete.
Best fix I could think of is to just give everyone 50 health in wild.
Good luck beating a 50hp quest mage or mech'thun deck
it's almost never aggro decks that win before turn 5. it's pretty much always broken combo decks, which by your suggestion should start with 50 hp so they never lose a game again.
it probably surprises most people who don't play WILD that people who play WILD are surprised by the toxicity of decks and those who want to play this mode want special nerfs to take place there, balancing all this chaos... blizzard often has a problem to balance the standard well anyone who treats HS quite seriously avoids the WILD mode, although there will be masochists who lack excitement, but don't complain later when they collide with it (but that's only my personal opinion why I don't waste a time for WILD)
I prefer to dust all the cards which rotate to wild. Wild is almost impossible to balance (you nerf one toxic deck and the next toxic deck will instantly replace it). Safes you a lot of money btw (for example i wont have to spend a single penny on the next expansion).
I realy hope they create a "wild light" format; a format that includes all sets like wild is now, but is also being monitored like standard so the oppresive decks are kept in check.
"Gosh, maybe we should consider Wild before we release cards that will obviously break it."
Not enough brain power to think that far ahead. Try think of them like a caveman gugu gaga
