I assume it's Peggy throwing it off. She isn't "new", but now is undead as well as a pirate.

 Putting the +2 slots on the locked rewards track still feels like the biggest mistake of the entire system. It turns the Battlepass from additional cosmetics to something people might feel they must have in order to get a good selection.
And of course the more people have only 2 heroes to select, the more often you end up in those lobbies where 3 players concede right at the start because they didn't like either choice and give a rat's ass about MMR.

sometimes yes becoz the remaining player just quickly climb tavern level

Not always, but often. See it like that: The BG is currently balanced (how much is a matter of another discussion) around 8 players competing for the same minion pool. If you start with only 5, you'll instead end up with less players that can easily snowball out of control because there's no competition for the minions they require for their build.

Second, all quests and hero powers that require "kill x minions / attack with your minions / have your minions die / trigger deathrattles /..." become much harder to finish, because every time you're up against a ghost without minions, it's basically skipping a turn, putting you at a disadvantage towards other players.

TL;DR: It's not game breaking, but can make matches more frustrating and imbalanced.

i mean its still free, i pick from the 2 dudes and maintain a 7500ish rank. Its a bummer you cant use gold on the perks but its still a free game.
