This thing is insane. And it cracks wild over its knee.
Guys! This Armor-Druid is awesome together with the Quest! Gain a lot of armor, play this on turn 8,9 or 10, play Brann, play the Quest reward which immediately gives another 8 armor, then play Zola to get 2 copies of Quest reward, play both Quest rewards and so on.
This way you can easy get 48 Attack on your Hero (3xQuest reward + Brann)
As a Warrior card, this could be really powerfull, or at least intriguing.
But Druid already has infinite Mana, either with Wildheart Guff, Twig of the World Tree, Floop's Glorious Gloop, or even Aviana, so spend 8-Mana to cheat like 2 big minions and deal 20 damage to your hero looks a bit overwhelming by Druid today standards.
Edit: And I forgot Celestial Alignment. Not to mention that this ONLY works with minions. I wish druid had a Payoff that goes beyond just the Mana Cheat. A different playstyle, but the problem with that is that nothing they do is going to be better than Ramping, except for Aggro, which isn't a strategy I'm too excited about either.

Seems like another archetype that will rarely see support in later expansions just like Deathrattle Druid. Have you ever seen Sesselie of the Fae Court beyond the first weeks of Nathria expansion? Anub would probably end up the same.
Probably the whole “use armor” for druid won’t see traction until most of the ramp cards are rotated out.
I agree, but it could also be added to ramp or use in wild nutcracker druid (which doesnt need it per se anyway)
I mean there hasn't been a set since Nathria. And there's a ton of new deathrattles in this set. Sesselie's issue is mostly that Druid has enough card draw and enough mana cheat to not need her. Also she makes your deckbuilding really restricted because everything needs to cost 5 or more.
So while I doubt Sesselie will ever see serious competitive play (she's more of a fun Vardenn-eseque card) the Druid location almost certainly will.
Boring statline. Classic 7/7. Could have been a 6/8. The effect however will probably destroy Wild even more.

Imagine it would be 1/15. Holy crap, a real wall! Or 15/1, just use your nature spell to gain A LOT of ARMOR... Yeah, just imagine)
Yeah it's time for Hearthstone to go crazy and so some other statlines than all these 3/3, 5/5, 7/7 and 8/8.
My main problem with this card is, Wildheart Guff. Instead of one big pop off turn where you play a ton of minions, why not just play Guff and do those disgusting things every turn? Combining Anub'Rekhan and Guff is gross overkill, I doubt you'd need that much mana for anything outside of some wacky meme OTK.
That said though... watch out for this card in 4 months, when Guff rotates, because while it's worse than Guff, being worse than the best Druid card does not mean it's bad.

Druid: Yes!
You only have enough board space to play 2 final form Astalors exactly, and yes Astalor's Manathirst is doubled by Brann. 4 damage from base Astalor + 64 from 2 big ones = 68 total damage for 11 mana and 3 cards. (This is also considering you start with 0 Armor and you play Brann first, then Anub)
Standard is getting Wild-level combos now lol
That's nuts. Alignment Druid would run this for sure.
will never work, it is obvious the new meta (like every single meta) will be heavily aggro/tempo with cheap undeads and constantly flooding the board with them you will never have enough armor to meaningfull abuse this, you will be on the verge of dying every turn and you cannot accumulate armor enough
Given with Astalor Bloodsworn Druid can easily afford to use Sire Denathrius as a stabilizer and with the new cards and the pre existing ones easily gain 100+ armor in one game should it go long enough. Don't even be so certain that druid can't BS their way into working, even against a hyper aggro meta. Druid is the reason we can't have nice things.
Nice combo with Brann Bronzebeard AND Sire Denathrius + 5 more armor {OR Astalor Bloodsworn - If you got armor: 3(brann)+2+5+5+8+8+8+8 -8(from Anub) -20(from Astor armor)= 19, you can play brann and all Astalor Bloodsworn copies} OR... BOTH +10... Ughhh... Here we go again... So F broken... DMG from Brann Bronzebeard + Astalor Bloodsworn + Anub Would be = 4 (from normal Astalor) + 32*4 = 132 (IF Manathirst works with Brann)... By the way you dont have to play all 4 8drop Astalor.. 2 would be enough to OTK so -16.... So basically you need 3 armor and 10 mana crystals, then play Anub, then Brann, then each Astalor you can... 68 DMG.. GG.. Blood DK with 60HP dies on empty board +8hp in minions as backup..
BAN THIS CARD OR CHANGE IT ASAP PLEASE!!!
It has already been verified that manathirst does not work with brann. So first of all you should have played Guff first and be on 11 mana to initiate the combo or have a coin. Secondly you can only fit 2 final forms of astalor on the field so max damage is 50(2 from first astalor and 24 from each final form of astalor since manathirst does not work with brann) which is no little at all. Plus you will have 2 more final forms for next turns
